We've seen how diluted the ASV is this year, even for western characters. Bowser didn't have that great of a day vote against Frog either, for that matter.

Squall is rip-roaring here. I have no faith in SF as of right now (though if Ken/Ryu don't fall apart next round, this'll look realllllly good) but he's giving Auron no quarter here.

Even if Auron does pull it off it'll have a Dante/Yoshi vibe to it. Two ho-hum performances against Aeris/Zero while Squall gets to trounce Akuma and Terra? Favorite, indeed.

I banged my head against a wall when I unlocked gouken, was messing around on Hardest with Gief, the L1 and i went perfect and smacked everyone silly.
Gief is broken against the AI.

Auron did roughly what was expected of him. Squall is doing roughly what was expected of him. Squall was the favorite to begun with so this isn't a good thing for Auron. However, it means Auron and Squall probably also meet our expectations of being pretty close to each other and are close enough for Auron to have a shot at winning.

Revan might have an outside shot at winning a day match against Terra. Yes the ASV has been diluted but with a full 24-hour match, it would be as strong as ever, and a day match would be more favorable to him than a 24-hour match. It's just that the other sections of a day match are about the same as the ASV in a 12-hour day match, so it looks weaker.

Revan's chances there are probably very low though. There's very few matches where there'll be more than a 4% swing between night and day, and Terra got almost 54%.

Two stupid picks > four stupid picks.

Drake > Boss, Magus > Alucard, Arthas > Kefka and Shadow > Amatasetaersu were all logical picks grounded in some form of reason that just didn't pan out. All 4 were tossup matches that he just happened to guess right.

Phoenix > Jecht was a terrible pick given how weak Phoenix is compared to what a post-Dissidia Jecht would look like and Kratos A > Sackboy was just a ridiculous pick and easily the biggest Board 8 "whoops" of the contest so far. There was NO reason to take a Tales character there.

there is no such thing as stupid picks in toss up matches. quit being an ass.

BT, why are you the things that you choose to be? Phoenix/Jecht was almost as close as Drake/Boss and Shadow/Ammy, and Sackboy > Kratos Aurion was a lot close than Magus/Alucard or Arthas/Kefka was.

You're right, and noone was making fun of stupid picks in tossup matches. Terra/Revan was a tossup with strong aruments for both sides. Nothing even came close to saying Kratos > Sackboy or Phoenix > Jecht.

Jecht barely even appears in his main game and most likely had to rely on a handheld PSP game for that bit of extra mileage to actually win.. That's not exactly an overwhelming vote of confidence to have that match locked up.
