Yeah, it was essentially one big stall because they have relatively similar trends. Lloyd's done a bit better with the night vote though.

It's possible Pokemon overperforms in the sprite round too!

2007: Pikachu has that amazing match where he beats up Dante and Leon after losing badly to Leon the previous round.
2008: Pikachu beats L-Block and gets 46% on Crono, while Mewtwo demolishes Squall and Sora with the help of Cloud, to such an extent that Square Triple SFF looks way worse than Nintendo Triple SFF.

Oh, Pikachu's not beating Snake even in the sprite round. The most optimistic estimate for him is 46% on sprite round Crono, and Snake/Crono would probably be pretty close in the sprite round.

The fact he is avoiding anti votes is HUGE for him. And apparently Banjo had the board vote and Pikachu kept on climbing, so whos to say he even falls far from this? 75% in this year with the lack of blowouts for a character who was supposed to be an anti vote conductor is freaking amazing. I'm not even sure Snake gets 80% here, and Solid **** makes him very vulnerable, especially against Pokemon who should thrive with their sprites.

We lost 1 -2, 2 -3s, 3 -4s and a bunch more of -5s and lower. Overall the prediction percentage is high but I would have expected the top tiers to go perfect again.

No one fell off the Top 50 today. However, 1 person did get it wrong and survive. DankaBlack did not have Fox beating Lloyd.

Oh man, Pikachu beating Snake would be hands-down my all-time favorite contest moment.

It's clearly not going to happen, but I would love it so god damn much. I can at least hope that Pikachu pulls an amazing performance and does something like break 45% on Solid ****.
