wouldn't be surprised at all if Yuri becomes a staple like Lloyd and
Kratos in these contests. He was the number 1 Tales character in their

Yuri's
awesome, but all his appeal is pretty much intra-fanbase. He can't
muster up a pic to look as badass as, say, Kratos' last match - and
even that couldn't keep him in the game against Sackboy! I'm feeling

biggest concern with round 2 pics isn't even the filter and frame...

Names
shouldn't matter. The vote options are lined up with the pics, and
there's not really anyone who needs their name displayed on the pic to

just checked it out and finally made the leaderboard for the first time
ever (been making brackets since the 2002 contest too). I'm mildy upset for going Geno>Ness but taking Liquid to R3 is the biggest burner. My Snake>Sephiroth pick is looking terrible too ;_; (should've taken Charizard>Sora as the crazy upset i debated between both and felt that Snake was safer, rofl) Oh, an lol ToS. Jade
and Yuri are *very* different, let's not make two bones about this
there. Jade is a fan-favorite that doesn't necessarily appeal to even
most of the people that have played Tales of the Abyss - he's got a

The 4th and 5th rounds of 2003 (Link/Samus, Cloud/Sonic, Mario/Sephiroth, Snake/Mega Man, Cloud/Link, and Sephiroth/Mega Man) didn't have names on the pics. You realize that popularity poll was on the Japanese website and the voters will primarily be from Japan, right? If
Vesperia had sold as much as Symphonia, Yuri would be a new low
midcarder. Lloyd gets mixed feelings from people and Kratos isn't the
main character. Yuri is the main character and easily the most popular
character in his game by far; like I posted, it's basically how Squall
dominate FF8. And according to lol vgchartz, Vesperia sold 220k in the USA, 190k in Japan, 70k in Europe. Abyss didn't sell enough outside of Japan to be included. >_> --- KrahenProphet lived up to his name. |

Correct
me if I'm wrong, but I believe if you only count US sales Symphonia
outsold the second, third and fourth best selling Tales games combined.
That's also not an etirely fair comparison since ToS:DotW was either
the 2nd or 3rd best selling Tales game. It's either slightly ahead or
