It's too bad Snake/Pikachu is a night match. And Fox/Pikachu was SFF. They had a common opponent (Cloud) in 2002, and while Fox was stronger, it wasn't by as much as he beat Pikachu by.

Except anti voting isn't really evident in 4ways, since the anti votes are harder to distribute among 3 different games/characters.

RBY and Charizard made it clear the pokemon wasn't being anti-voted much anymore, but I was a little bit concerned for Pikachu. Still took him to get 75% though.

If you aren't willing to compare Pokémon between the series contest and BGE2 and see there's a completely different entity there, I'll chalk this one down to you being Albion again I guess.

Pikachu's still top dog in the Pokemon food chain, but I think Charizard could be an easy second, with Mewtwo close behind.

I think between them and potentially Missingno we've run the well dry for decent characters besides maybe Blastoise. There's still a big chunk that I imagine would be above the fodder line, including some non-RBY starters and some of the legendaries like Mew and Lugia, but then we'll get too weighed down in Pokemon to focus on finding new talent.

Banjo is really weak. He got 20.60% on Megaman in 4-ways, so Pikachu is currently projected to get 42% on Megaman based on that. That's what he got on Crono and Vincent in round 4 last year, so it seems about the same as his 4-way strength.

I have no clue how Shepard's going to do. Ellis is a Valve character, but L4D2 is no Portal or Half-Life 2 or even Team Fortress 2 here. Shepard had a weak (but not uber-fodder weak) showing in 2008 and his first game isn't strong, but his second game has been huge. Of course, no telling how ME2 has been received by the GameFAQs audience?

Still, Shepard has the intangibles going in, but I can see anything from Shepard tripling to getting upset by Ellis by 55% or so. After finishing ME1 for the third time (and getting ready to finally play ME2 tomorrow!), I'm hoping it's the former. Shepard puts Captain Falcon to shame when it comes to punching people.

Europe and Asia are Pikachus strongest regions, so he should do well overnight, and then the morning vote should easily favor Pikachu over a decade old platform character... so yeah, I don't see him falling from his current percentage very much at all.

That's kind of the point...

Sure, this is impressive, but does Pikachu really have enough to beat Snake, even with maximum pic advantage? Then again, I'm of the opinion that match pictures don't matter that much, less than 1% for sure.

Pikachu will likely show that he has strength against Snake, but the notion that he might pull the upset is kind of ridiculous.
