Even though nobody noticed that the most superior game of the bunch was outright winning the match? One of the few matches I got 0 points on, but god damn if Oblivion outright winning wasn't worth it!

I'd take 70% on Balthier over 60% on Axel in this contest, where overperformances seem to be more of a rarity. I do expect Dante to do much better than that, though, since he should be able to 60/40 Riku.

Exactly. If Sackboy looked threatening before his game came out, and when he was stuck against Solid ****ing Snake, then it was pretty damn clear that even the "high-tier" Tales characters had no shot.

Yup, Dante got 72.64% on Balthier in 2007. Using Ryu's current percentage, that predicts.....Dante with 52.58% over Ryu.

This is a terrible result today if you have Dante > Ryu, especially given 2003. There is a definitive Capcom hierarchy of Mega Man (X) > Ryu > Dante > Leon Kennedy > everyone else, much like how there is a definitive Xbox hierarchy of Master Chief > Ryu Hayabusa > everyone else.

I'm not ignoring 2008. The 2008 stats predicted Ryu with 68.5%, and it probably won't finish that far from that.

2008 stats has Ryu at about 69%. and SF4 has come out since, so going up by 2% isn't surprising...

so yeah, he didnt look much better last year.
