For all intents and purposes, Axel is stronger than Frog in 2k7. Frog just put up 37% on Bowser. He broke 30% on Mega Man. He's had 358/2 Days. He beat out Lightning (who put up 36% on Sonic) and Scorpion (who got 58% on Balthier last year).

He's a good bit above Balthier and will probably get around 36% on Dante.

The -1s just got destroyed. The top tiers in general did poorly. Prediction percentage actually increases as you go downward and breaks 50% at the -5s. The casuals kicks our asses on this match.

14 people got it wrong but survived. Yeah, 2007 was probably the worst year for Chrono Trigger characters though. At this point I seriously think Crono overperformed on Vincent due to the sprite round......cannot get over how bad his R2 performance was.

Based on what? He didn't drop off at all in 2007 and he just had a new game.

It's not like 2006 Sora would 60-40 his present self or anything. Or 2006 Riku for that matter, although I suppose he might come closer.

This should be just about what was expected from Ryu or close to it. My 2008 stats predict Ryu with 68.5% on Balthier, although a 3% overperformance is pretty impressive. Regardless, nobody should be surprised Ryu is putting up 70% on him. This is the dude who lost handily to Ada Wong twice, after all.

It's depressing watching Balthier suck considering how incredibly awesome Balthier is in FF12. I'd rather sacrifice my already-shot bracket to see Balthier getting 40% or so on Ryu just because Balthier is so awesome. But most of GameFAQs fails to realize that they can still find Balthier awesome even if they don't like FF12, which is unfortunate.

Also, my other account is suspended since I drunk posted some pretty cruel things in the Super Bowl topic, so if this account gets banned, that's how it happened. Hey, we all knew I was going to get banned again eventually!

For the record, the 2007 LOL XSTATS project Axel to beat Balthier with 57.64% of the vote, which means Dante would get 61% on Axel tomorrow assuming Ryu and Dante are equals (and also assuming I'm doing my math right!).

Everything pointed to San Andreas/God of War beating Tales of Symphonia last contest as well. Sometimes it works out, and sometimes it doesn't. That tends to happen when you don't have any useful data on an entrant.
