Dig
was 100 power, 99.6% accuracy. Earthquake was exactly the same. Dig
requires 2 turns to use. You can't be hit during the first turn (except
by Swift) but you're telegraphing what you're doing. Earthquake is
generally better. I can't remember if there are any instances where a
Pokemon can learn both Dig and Earthquake but you would use Dig. --- "Those whose memories fade seek to carve them in their hearts..." "All dreams are but another reality. Never forget..." |

meant mechanics for how much damage that is. "100 power" means little

100
power is a strong attack but not game breaking. From a Pokemon with
high Attack hitting a pokemon with decent defense, it would do around
20-30% of their total HP. --- "Those whose memories fade seek to carve them in their hearts..." "All dreams are but another reality. Never forget..." |

Based
on extrapolating Cloud/Ridley and Leon/Vault Boy, it seems that Vault
Boy should break 30% on Cloud. I'm not buying that, so there's proof
for a Ridley boost. It's still scary that Cloud couldn't come close (within a few percent =/= close) to tripling a character who is always a faceless boss fight without much storyline written in his games. There is some backstory in Metroid Prime, but you have to scan something to find the backstory and I'm not sure if most GameFAQs guys would have the patience to do that. |

From: Safer Sephiroth 777 | #225 The favorite here is Kratos A since established fodder has been doing well (Laharl, Isaac, Ratchet) in fodder/fodder matches. Of course, some of us have Sackboy winning as well. I still think Sackboy can boost above Kratos A. Kratos A isn't exactly The Boss, and Sackboy stands out a bit more than Kratos A. Then again, I doubt even with getting LBP since 2008 that Sackboy will get a bigger boost than Drake. Now to do what I should've done earlier and do some research! http://www.gamefaqs.com/poll/index.html?poll=3263 Hmmm. 44.25% on Wesker, while Lloyd, who's weaker than Kratos A got 55% on him in 2005. Of course, ToS hasn't been getting any stronger (though neither was Wesker until RE5), while Sackboy finally got a game and may have an excuse being weak with Snake being in the poll. At the very least, it's going to be close. I don't see Kratos A winning by over 53% here. --- Not Wylvane |

Match XLVI: (6) Sackboy vs. (11) Kratos Aurion Information Name: Sackboy Game/Series: LittleBigPlanet Previous Contest: 2008 Performance: 4th in round 1 Name: Kratos Aurion Game/Series: Tales of Symphonia Previous Contest: 2008 Performance: 4th in round 1 Analysis It’s been a few matches, but we have finally reached our next debated match and with the next one being almost a week away people are hoping that the match will at least be interesting. On one side we have a character who he and his game has never been given a proper match and on the other we have probably the strongest Tales character who despite that title has yet to win a match, will this year be different? In 2008 Sackboy was the first character to have a match despite not having a game released. The guy only had hype to work with and to make matters worse one of his opponents was Solid Snake. Back in 2008 one of the few reasons to own a Playstation 3 was to play Metal Gear Solid 4 which means whatever hype Sackboy had in that match went to Solid Snake. Even in the games contest LittleBigPlanet had the worst luck by being given Metal Gear Solid 4 as an opponent. Last year Kratos Aurion was embarrassed last year by taking fourth. One could blame Falcon and Diddy Kong for his performance, but at the same time one must realized that those two characters probably overlapped with themselves more than they did with Kratos. Tales of Symphonia may have had an impressive performance, but we already know that the characters suffer from ensemble cast syndrome. So what does this all add up to? Kratos Aurion is the favourite going into the match with Sackboy having a chance to either upset the guy or be crushed by him. Sackboy has a very distinct design that is recognizable to the masses while Tales of Symphonia continues to age. I’m going with the upset, but like I said Kratos is the safe bet. charmander6000’s Bracket: Sackboy > Kratos Aurion charmander6000’s Prediction: Sackboy wins, 52.63% - 47.37% --- Board 8 BOP: http://www.freewebs.com/charmander6000/CB8%20BOP.xls Character Battle VIII - 36/44 - Today's Winners: Leon and Sackboy |

I wish I could say I have a feeling that Sackboy's gonna own this poll

There are a few moves that hit during dig (such as earthquake, obvi.) Not in RBY, that started in later gens. But they're both 100% accuracy. o.O Fly/Dig automatically causes to move to miss by rigging the RNG, Swift hits because it is programmed to skip the RNG all together. Also 100% moves have a 1/255 chance of missing in RBY because of a programming error Also with a ground type pokemon using EQ it gets boosted to 150 BP because of STAB. L-Block
got 46% and then 44% on Crono last year, in 4-ways, so he'd probably
have a lot of difficulty breaking 40% 1v1. Missingno would probably
have to be stronger than L-Block to hit 40% here. The vote-in poll was
highly impressive, but then, what do you think L would have gotten in
