Sarcasm or not, have you seen the series recently? "Embarrassing" doesn't even begin to describe it.

And I disagree hard with HM about the original being bad. The original was fine.

How can you expect anyone to take you seriously when you troll 50% of the time, all cap 20% of the time, voice your opinion as fact 29%, and spend 1% of the time trying to act like you aren't a self-righteous POS? Please, spare me.


Nice job deleting the first version of this post because you don't know how to add percentages up to 100.

I didn't change the post at all from when I deleted it to when I reposted it. I just thought something in the post was different than what it was. But, we've all seen your mistakes before. You can assume what you want.

The Gamecube went through its entire existence without a mainline Zelda game... why should the Wii get two?

Wind Waker is a mainline Zelda, whether you want to accept it or not!

And Twilight Princess is essentially a GameCube game that got modified for Wii.

Wind Waker would have been amazing if the cel shading wasn't terrible. Cel is great when done well (Tales of Symphonia, Street Fighter 4, Bored-erlands), and absolute **** otherwise.

uh the cel shading is pretty good in wind waker. the only bad thing about WW is the difficulty. Other than that it's one of the best Zeldas!

Wind Waker cel-shading is a little primitive, but I think it serves its purpose well enough.

Difficulty and Triforce hunting were the only things wrong with it, and for me personally, I don't mind an easy game so I was okay with that aspect.

Guh? I still think WW has some of the most beautiful visuals in gaming. As Ex said, the difficulty needed to be kicked up a notch, the game needed a few more dungeons (better quality dungeons, too), and the infamous Triforce quest needed the boot. I actually think the gameplay elements are lacking compared to most Zeldas, but the visuals, sound, and ensuing atmosphere are really what made WW special.

Wind Waker still looks gorgeous several years after its release, while Twilight Princess looks old as ****.

Kinda like Yoshi's Island and Donkey Kong Country. Yeah, YI had a strange art style, but the game is still beautiful today, while DKC looks like washed-out plastic bullcrap.

How exactly are the spin-offs nonsense? They're vital parts of the story. Birth by Sleep is essentially Kingdom Hearts 0 and is indisputably the most story-heavy game in the series.

I really wish people would play the games before bashing them...

Ok, anyway...this match is pretty pointless -- we know Falcon is going to win, and we know Riku is going to beat Falcon.

My quesiton is this -- the marketing machine for FFXIII starts mid-contest. It's supposed to be a 'true event' as articles would have it, something probably bigger than FFVII's marketing. What are the chances that it propels Cloud to his second contest victory -- and how strong do you think Lightning and Snow will be?

Also, FF versus XIII -- Noctis the most badass FF character of all time?

How are people suprised about Falcon's performance, here? From what we've already seen, this is actually a good performance by Falcon.

Falcon's the favourite heading into Round 2, IMO.

Ryu only got 76.7% on Wander at Gamespot, and I know it's ****ing Gamespot, but it shows that Wander may have more strength here than expected.

Not enough that Falcon's gonna do anything to Riku, but I don't think this performance makes Falcon look that bad. At least he's doubling someone.

He doesn't suck, and he has some great character development towards the end. I don't really see him having much of a future in these contests, though.

In terms of potential strength, I'd rank them: Lightning >>> Vanille > Fang > Snow = Sazh > Hope > Serah

Why would Snow not have potential strength? He looks amazing. I haven't played the game yet, but he takes badassery to the next level in the trailers and clips I've seen. Not to mention he has quite a bit of character (again, from what I've seen.)

If the marketing goes according to Square plan...they're going to be the next FFVII cast.
