~*Say What? Some Common Stat Topic Lingo Defined*~

SFF (Same Fanbase Factor) - Same Fanbase Factor is the theory that, if two contestants share a common fanbase, the weaker of the two options will underperform in a direct matchup. For instance, Link was expected to defeat Ganon with 65% of the vote in 2004, based on their 2003 values. Instead, Link collected near 88% of the vote, because the Zelda fanbase so clearly sided with him. However, take some SFF labels with a grain of salt, as many people will slap it onto any match that doesn't make total sense. This has caused a few SFF jokes, with LordOfDabu's "Some Frivolous Factor" being the funniest of them.

X-Stats - Short form of Extrapolated Statistics, aka the mathematical "strength" of a contestant that can be determined based on their performance in any given matchup. See above for a detailed explanation of the x-stat process.

Noble Nine - Link, Cloud, Sephiroth, Mario, Crono, Solid Snake, Sonic, Samus and Mega Man.

Near-Elite - The Squall, Auron, Tifa, Vincent, Zelda, Kirby, etc group that has come at, near or even ahead of Noble Nine characters in the past.

The Fodder Line - A final X-Stat value of 15% or below.

Wouldn't be so bad if Tetsuya Nomura wasn't such a ****ing idiot. But at this point, it's clear he's making it up as he goes.

Well, Kingdom Hearts has been bad from its inception, so I dunno that Nomura then and Nomura now makes much difference. Although KH has gotten so, so much worse. Quick someone get that pic linking all the characters together

I took Falcon > Riku without a second thought. Dude has been stuck with other Brawl characters for years, and he's got nearly all his strength from Brawl. Get him away from them, and he's gonna look legit was my feelings. And like "only 72%" is gonna make me think differently.

Hahahaha. Sora is against the perfect storm in Charizard. He has literally no hope against the Zard on the HG/SS release date. He's going to get 60-40'd.

The only chance Sora has is Kratos winning, that's it!

Other than Crono, has Falcon ever had a legit match before today? I'm too lazy to look it up, but I remember him always being stuck against Nintendo or something.

Nope. He was stuck in a fourpack with Fox, Wario and Banjo in 2007, and ended up with Diddy Kong, Kratos Aurion and Alucard in 2008, then advanced only to run into Pika.

358/2 Days wasn't bad (a lot better than Chain of Memories anyway), and Birth by Sleep looks pretty good, really.

Sarcasm or not, have you seen the series recently? "Embarrassing" doesn't even begin to describe it.

And I disagree hard with HM about the original being bad. The original was fine.

I hated the first one, that thing was a mess from top to bottom. I did enjoy KH2 to some extent, not anything relating to the story or characters, but the gameplay was much improved.

"Random enemy in World of Warcraft" really needs to stop. Hogger is probably more well known to the average WOW player than most raid bosses. The guy has memes about him and is the butt of half the jokes in trade chat. He's WOW's version of mudkip.

Nope, and I doubt they announce it that early. It's probably the only upcoming game that can rival Zelda Wii in post-unveil fanboy explosion and giddiness, though (because we all know the FFVII remake ain't happening anytime soon).

They really do need to stop being idiots and make KH3 already. This spinoff side story "make it up as we go" nonsense has gone on long enough.

On Ramza: He's been in two relevant matches (See Also: 1v1s), and broke 40% in both of them. Final Fantasy Tactics has been in two relevant matches (See Also: 1v1s), and broke 49.98% in both of them. This morning does not surprise me at all, especially given Kingdom Hearts does not have transitive voting patterns. It never gets blown out, it never blows anything else out.

Charizard is probably my biggest bracket fear outside Sonic bombing. He really will have the perfect storm for a win when he reaches Sora, especially after he dismantles and potentially assumes his position as contest rally monkey.
