By the way, Vincent......here is the history of characters we considered #10, or Noble Nine Challenger #1: 2003: Magus. You know what happened to him. 2004: Zero. Lost to Ryu Hayabusa. 2005: Bowser: Lost to Ryu and got pulverized by Auron. 2006: Ganondorf: Well, I guess he hasn't done too embarassing yet, although he seems to have weakened quite a bit since 2006. But then, unlike the others, he didn't end the year as the #10 character. 2007-8: Vincent. avoided the curse, so he was able to bounce back after that bad year in

Ramza
looking a bit more respectable than I imagined. Not really sure who
would be favored at night though... Ramza is far weaker than your
stereotypical FF lead. I doubt he has what it takes to continue hanging
with Riku for long. As for Seifer, that's bogus. I fail to see how that's a legitimate reason to cease nominating him. He'd almost definitely had at least made the vote-in polls this year, then it could be put to rest once and for all. --- :> |

wonder if this match is weakness on Riku's part, or surprising strength
on Ramza's behalf. All things considered, I'm kind of leaning towards

As such, I'm hoping Falcon curb-stomps Wander tomorrow (preferrably a tripling) - that, as well as Riku underwhelming here, would make me feel a lot better about the upset pick. --- Vote for Vault Boy! but Ryu's in that elusive "Always breaks 40%" club (Also known as: The
"You're either Clinkeroth or you've probably never faced one of them"
club)! In fact, it may be time for another list! Characters who have never gotten less than 40% in any match (1-on-1 only, of course)! This is with a minimum of two contest appearances: 1. Link (Lowest percentage: 48.39% vs. Cloud 2003) 2. Cloud Strife (Lowest percentage: 46.07% vs. Link 2006) 3. Sephiroth (Lowest percentage: 43.35% vs. Link 2002) 4. Solid Snake (Lowest percentage: 42.79% vs. Mario 2005) 5. Aerith Gainsborough (Lowest percentage: 43.13% vs. Zelda 2006) 6. Kirby (Lowest percentage: 44.99% vs. Squall 2004) 7. Ryu (Lowest percentage: 41.02% vs. Bowser 2005) 8. Riku (Lowest percentage: 44.80% vs. Yoshi 2006) 9. Kratos (Lowest percentage: 42.89% vs. Ryu 2006) 10.
