It'd definitely help if the guy comes from a crappy game, or else the game will have cult fans that will vote for it.

And while recency isn't a disadvantage (Tanner got in thanks to the recent Driv3r at the time), older games couldn't hurt either.

I like that one. Incredibly generic look without having any remarkable qualities, an unknown game, and an average name.

I never understood the hate Mystic Quest got. Sure it doesn't hold a candle to the other SNES FF games, but I'd easily rank it above 9 or 10 in terms of playability.

I'm bumping my Jean-Luc Cougar suggestion. He's mediocre and generic in every way, is French, and will suffer spy game SFF from Snake (the game is called Winback cover ops). He's perfect. Who likes that game? Plus, it's like 11 years old.

FFMQ's underrated. There's charm to its simplicity.

That's his only fault. My solution is to just call him Jean-Luc under his picture and hope people can't read. Jean-Luc is definitely generic enough. And we really need a character from a game as similar as possible to MGS in genre so someone won't vote for the other character because they look like an RPG character and they love RPG's. We can't give them that choice!
