Analysis

While this is another fodder match this match is special since this is the only match where I have no idea where one of the competitors ranks. There is absolutely nothing on GameFAQs that gives me any insight on where Eddie Riggs ranks other than he got enough support to reach the contest with no board support. Ratchet isn’t exactly a powerhouse in this contest either which is why I’m hesitant at calling Eddie weak and moving on.

The most I’ve got out of Eddie is that his game runs solely on Jack Black hype and that the game was made by Tim Schafer who is a well liked director. The problem is that when his list of characters that made the contest comes down to Guybrush, Manny Calavera and Raz things aren’t looking good for Eddie. Ratchet on the other hand is still relevant given that he’s gotten a new release.

Like Laharl Ratchet is a long time contest vet who continued to get crushed, but like him this is his chance to win a match. Ratchet may even win because people recognized him from previous contests. However I wouldn’t be surprised if Eddie manages the upset since like I said I have no information on the guy.

Okay, I should probably pick up some Phoenix Wright, but darn, above other more-well known games? How can I not resist the other stuff? And good heavens, this is the second wrong match in a row that I have in my bracket, though at least I thought Jecht was going to win after seeing all you guys talk stuff. I thought that 35% on Bowser would be worth more than 30% on Ganondorf (using Sin for Jecht), which is why I stuck with Wright winning.

Ratchet probably wins the next match. It's sad that Ratchet and Laharl will move on while Tidus won't. Plus the main villain of FFX is going to outlast the game's protagonist, which is messed up at several levels.

Man, Phoenix still has nothing resembling a day vote.

Phoenix kept this pretty respectable compared to how he's fallen apart trend-wise before! Now if only Jecht is still close to Sub-Zero like the vote-in poll suggested, Phoenix could be in good business next year!
