GameFAQs Contests

If I won Guru, I'd do my best to make it a unique character. I came up with the Nidoran F rally to see how a random Pokemon would do (alright, not stellar but not pathetic either) and Matt the Mii to see how a random Mii would do (bad). I'm always for nominating characters who stand out, who would be recognizable or at least appeal to a variety of voters in a non-traditional sense. Characters like Suicide, which I was too lazy to try to rally, would be interesting considering the name and the fact he's a legit wrestler now who originated in a video game. I'd probably use my Guru nom for Missingno though just so he could get better bracket placement, or maybe Goomba to see how strong a generic enemy would do (I predict a solid mid-carder).

But I'll nominate whoever the Guru winner wants, whether it be Toadette, Crono, or Link. I don't take Guru noms nearly as seriously as the rest of you do. It's only a nomination, who gives a ****?

My nominations now end up like so: Knuckles, Gordon Freeman, random new character from a game I've recently played.

That usually leave 12 characters that the board convinces me to pick. I'd have no problems nominating Crono or Link if the Guru winner chooses them.

No time limit, more things to do, two new Pikmin types, multiplayer, challenge mode, 2 captains making multitasking so much easier and arguably the best change, Dungeons! Pikmin 2 blows Pikmin out of the water.

Games are different than characters, though. All my other favorite games would likely get in anyway, and I don't even want to nominate any of the obscure games I like. It's just not as fun. If I nom Ocarina of Time, it's trolling. If I nom Ever17, it's a wasted spot.
