Russia and America is still at war. I also like how Red gets the blue votes despite his name, and Russia not voting for their favorite color(although Ocelot does have origins in Russia, The Boss be damned).

Congrats to Krahenprophet for his well-deserved victory.

More pic thoughts:

- HK looks amazing and contrasts starkly with Block. If HK wanted to make things interesting, he got the pic for it.
- Isaac's pic has practically put his match away. He just looks way better than the Prof.
- I'm kinda scared for Charizard. If he gets past this, I'll feel great about his chances against Kratos.
- Huge contrast. Tails could overperform because of it. Looking forward to Kratos bombing the board vote.
- Standard pic for a standard Samus route.
- Niko looks cool, but so does Jill and she's gonna kick his ass.

Why would feel good about Charizard's chances again Kratos if he gets past Duke? Duke's picture's pretty good and everything, but the strength disparity between him and Kratos is rather large.

Man, that would be hilarious if Tails overperformed based on match pics. Sonic characters have been bombing all contest. And to think, I was getting worried that this alleged weakening of the franchise as a whole was going to lead to a bizarro rSFF situation where voters, faced with a match between two Sonic characters in round 2, showed their complete lack of regard for the franchise by voting the supporting character over the main character, leading to one of the most unexpected breakings of the Noble Nine ever. The really bizarre part is that because Knuckles gets shoved into matches with the Noble Nine early in the contest EVERY YEAR, a Knuckles win wouldn't make the Noble Nine explode the way it would if Sonic lost to Ganondorf or Kirby. Knuckles' only non-Nine loss is to Squall, and Squall's only one is to Vincent.

...Damn, that's even weirder than I thought it was when I first considered that possibility. It's a good thing that Sonic Team is back on track now, right?

...Not that I see it. That pic is supposed to favor Tails?

Layton's picture would look a lot better if it was more crisp. As it stands, it's Isaac's match to lose in my opinion.

Charizard has his picture from the Pokemon Red boxart, so even though Duke's picture is a masterpiece, Charizard will have a lot of nostalgia votes in his favor. I'm not too worried about it, though I'll be really worried about Kratos > Charizard if Kratos gets another picture this bad...
