Kratos Aurion had a decent match with Diablo in 2005, and then looked like fodder in 4-ways. Ulti would say LOL 4WAYS and be done with it.

If you people don't accept the Kratos/Midna LFF theory, then explain the difference between Midna in 2007 and Midna in 2008.

Because there IS a difference.

He went from 43% on Diablo to barely beating Agent 47 and getting blown out by Alucard. Considering what ToS did in the Games Contest, what explanation do you have?

And it isn't even trend/console LFF. It's just plain fanbase LFF. When Tales of Symphonia came out it was pretty much the only RPG Nintendo fans could play on the Gamecube.

That's true, there is. I'm not sure how to explain Midna's 2008. I'd say FPF with Cloud, but then she did pretty good on Mewtwo. I'll plead puzzlement there, but it doesn't appear that she was LFF'd significantly by Mewtwo so I'm very hesitant to accept Kratos LFF.

But if there is Kratos/Nintendo LFF, how badly does Captain Falcon beat Alucard in a fair match? I hope you gentlemen have Falcon over Riku if you're seriously considering that...

I took Riku > Captain Falcon, but the good Captain does concern me there, to be honest with you. He did worse against Pikachu than Ike did though, so that kinda puzzles me.

1. Falcon is pure Smash, so it's not hard to imaging he would lose support more quickly than someone with backing from another source (Ike has FE).
2. Ike needed support against Arthas. Pikachu needed support against Alucard.

It does not seem impossible to me for Kratos to be falling over time. I'll grant you that that's a weak response, but I remain unconvinced of significant Midna/Kratos LFF.

Captain Falcon could beat Alucard in a match. His match with Riku has me extremely worried.

If that was triple LFF match, going by the others we've seen he probably wins with like 60%. That's beyond worried and into "Why on earth wouldn't you pick Falcon if you believed that?"

I should clarify, I meant Falcon beats Alucard with like 60%. But without looking at it closely, I don't think the gap between Alucard and Riku is enormous.

I am, but there was really no reason for Kratos to do as badly as he did last year based on previous years (You can't even go LOL 4-WAYS here because he did well in 2007, relatively speaking), and it also explains the difference between Midna 2007 and 2008.

Now if Kratos goes out and blows it against Sackboy, then disregard all this.

ANYWAY I'm still happy with Bowser. If nothing else this is at least comparable to Ganondorf and I think most would still give Ganondorf a shot a Sora.

To me at least, LOL 4-WAYS is not so much about how 4-ways are different from 1v1s as how inconsistent 4-way results are with each other, between rounds even. Basically, the predictive power of 4-way matches is much lower than that of 1v1 matches, at least using our extrapolation model.

Mewtwo easily wins that, however I'm not so sure if we can say Midna was LFF'd because of the next following year. Midna/Mewtwo could have easily just been because of Cloud being present. Midna today really still looks like a low mid-carder based on Sora.

Yeah, but she still looks stronger than Frog based on past years. Sora's been stronger than Bowser ever since KHII in our stats.

Bowser has always had one of the weaker Nintendo day votes, so it's not that surprising to seem him only make small gains against Frog here. He's the one that dropped off the chart against Kirby way back. Only looked good in recent years with characters like Ryu and Phoenix Wright in his groups.

Bowser is still doing worse in a day match against Frog than Sora did in a night match against Midna. Based solely on these two results, Sora wins with ease.

This would be awful. I don't want to deal with the possibility of a character getting less votes winning a match because that'd be stupid.

I don't have any qualms about that. It's a fun system, and is no more unfair than 12-hour matches, because very very few matches will be have a different popular and electoral vote winner, no more than matches where the 24-hour winner loses.

Yeah, I'm guessing including the world results still leaves Ocelot as the electoral winner since he won the popular vote outside the US. But you can't win them all, and I don't mind having results like that. It's Red's "fault" for having his support so centered in big states like California, New York, and Florida.

What does Cloud have to do with it?

I'm not sure, but maybe a strong presence just decreases the possible votes both characters would get, but I'm not convince she's anywhere near Mewtwo (like, breaking 48% or anything like that). Mewtwo got 40/41% on Ganondorf while she just barely escaped Sora's day vote with 36%, and while I think Sora is stronger than Ganondorf, I think Mewtwo would win that match a lot more than just 52% or so.

Actually, Ocelot might not have won the electoral vote under the system I was proposing. The electoral votes would be based on Gamefaqs traffic, not population, so if, say, states Red won had higher Gamefaqs traffic relative to real population, he might still have won.

Fiction. I refuse to believe Kefka could beat Frog at anything. Arthas just sucks.

Bowser by the hour:

1:00 | 62.63%
2:00 | 61.89%
3:00 | 62.83%
4:00 | 63.53%
5:00 | 64.74%
6:00 | 63.71%

A bad hour, then a good hour for Frog, and we enter the West Coast ASV. Frog's been going nearly 10% better on the West Coast than the Northeast all day, let's see how its ASV hits him.
