Magus.
Magus has been stronger than Kefka every year, CT improved on FFVI by a
lot in the Games Contest relative to 2004, and the only reason Magus
would lose to Kefka now is that Magus/Knuckles and his subsequent
matches have been more embarassing than anything Kefka's ever done. --- 6 years later, Crono's quest to defeat Sephiroth -- Round 1: Missingno 'Till shade is gone, 'till water is gone, into the shadow with teeth bared.... |

I'm really glad I switched from Neku to Laharl at the last minute! ...and picks such as Ellis > Shepard. I'm still kicking myself over that. Fortunately though, I think that's the only dumb upset left in my bracket; the Fawful/Drake damage has already been done. --- Kefka's match picture is the best of the contest. Characters who messed up my bracket: Shadow, Drake, Fawful, Liquid |
Fayt_Esteed | Posted 1/28/2010 2:48:20 PM | message detail |
I
have to agree with whoever said that it's a mystery why people continue
to have faith in Kefka despite being burned by him repeatedly. --- "Here I go! Divine judgment for an evil soul! Sacred Penance! Rest in peace." - Estellise Sidos Heurassein, Tales of Vesperia |

I stopped having faith in Kefka after his match against Vercetti Seriously, his last impressive match was against Knuckles in 2004 --- Oracle Challenge 2k10 - Rank: 34th Today's prediction: Laharl with 52.82% Status: meh |

Ike > Marth --- "Spoil it for me. I'm never going to play that game so I want to know if he's going to be another Auron or another Sin." - Soul about Jecht vs. PW |

Arthas would probably beat Marth. He especially would after this whole WoW expansion thing. Kefka has got nothing. --- KrahenProphet lived up to his name. |
LeonhartFour | Posted 1/28/2010 2:57:10 PM | message detail |
Ike vs. Donkey Kong - Let's pick! --- "Hold on a minute! That testimony stinks!" "Witness! You can't just say 'Hello' and expect us to get anywhere! I want you to testify!" |

Ike. DK *will* choke. --- KrahenProphet lived up to his name. |

...is it bad that I'm torn despite already having seen a matchup between the two? --- KrahenProphet lived up to his name. |

Well, let's make this easier then: Kefka vs. DK --- "Spoil it for me. I'm never going to play that game so I want to know if he's going to be another Auron or another Sin." - Soul about Jecht vs. PW |

Ike vs. Donkey Kong - Let's pick! Ike. Not much of a choice. --- "Here I go! Divine judgment for an evil soul! Sacred Penance! Rest in peace." - Estellise Sidos Heurassein, Tales of Vesperia |

From: LeonhartFour | #411 Poll implodes. But seriously, DK, and easily. He may be the master of choking, but he just isn't as naturally weak as Kefka is. --- KrahenProphet lived up to his name. |

Ike
> Marth. Ike leads in two FE-games on consoles in America and he's
the casual star of SSBB. Marth doesn't have an American game he carries
to my knowledge and he's a tourney-favorite of SSBM and maybe SSBB
(I've not followed that in a long time). Ike also made it in this year
as a four-seed...while Marth was in the vote-ins and failed to make it
into the contest (took fifth place, losing to MK and Peach as well as
Akuma and Thrall [probably due to LFF]). I don't have time to double-check it, but I think Ike also did better on Pikachu than Marth did on DK. --- T E A M C H O C O L A T E http://img269.imageshack.us/img269/7355/64590879.png |

Marth
is the main character of Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon for the DS which
was released last year, but that game got some very, very mixed reviews. --- KrahenProphet lived up to his name. |

I don't think Fire Emblems in general were very good till like 6, assuming that's a remake. Genealogy of the Holy War (4) and Thracia 776 (5) are extremely good. Mystery of the Emblem (3, Marth's main game) is a bit of a mixed bag, but I'm partial to it because the English patch is half my doing. <_< --- Mustache...and Green... http://backloggery.com/rpguy96 |

PiGuy96 | Posted 1/28/2010 3:16:06 PM | message detail |
Yeah,
Shadow Dragon was a remake of the original, despite the fact that
Mystery added a second book (equal in length) that actually possessed a
story. --- Mustache...and Green... http://backloggery.com/rpguy96 |

I tried all before 7 but 2 but 6 was only one I liked But admittedly I didn't play them more than one mission and didn't bother patching half of them so maybe I was missing GREAT PLOT and stuff. <_< --- No problem! This is a cute and pop genocide of love! |

I
haven't seen anything whatsoever suggesting that FE games have any
strength. In 2004, FE7 got doubled by FFTA. 5 years later, it got
60-40'd by DISGAEA. (Granted, Melee and Wind Waker were in that match,
but still...) --- "Here I go! Divine judgment for an evil soul! Sacred Penance! Rest in peace." - Estellise Sidos Heurassein, Tales of Vesperia |

(Granted, Melee and Wind Waker were in that match, but still...) This actually matters a lot. Triple SFF is a very powerful thing, and when you're a New Nintendo game competing with Super Smash Bros.
