Remember
Frog's R1 match last year? It was supposed to be between him and
KOS-MOS for second place. Midnight hits, the match starts... and
there's no picture! I remember a few of the KOS-MOS supporters being
pretty upset (Lopen leading the pack, IIRC). The best part was that

This isn't Smogon or Serebii, Pikachu should be obviously stronger than any Pokemon. The further away you get from hardcore Pokemon fans, the better Pikachu will do relative to other Pokemon. I'm not sure I'd say GameFAQs is far enough away to say Pikachu is obviously the strongest. Looking
at Squall/Sora/Yoshi/Fox, Sora rose against Yoshi and Fox until around
3 AM, then went even with Yoshi until morning and kept going up against
Fox. Squall killed everyone overnight. I didn't notice that. I hope your'e right and Sora can at least stay even overnight. It doesn't matter. Frog makes contest matches interesting like no other- he doesn't even need for the match to be debatable. I don't really see how he could make this one interesting though. Frog/Kefka? Isn't Frog's thing being the underdog? How the hell will he whoop out an epic fight against Kefka?
Kefka doesn't do epic fights anymore, he does epic fails. I think
Frog/Kefka would be the one Frog match that would be disappointingly

Personally
when it comes to comparing Charizard and Pikachu I think our bias gets
in the way of saying how much stronger Charizard could be (if he is).
I'm not exactly sure if I can imagine thousands of people having so
many characters between Pikachu and Charizard. The way I see, if you
like one of them, you most likely like the other guy at the very least.
I think we underestimate GameFAQs' tolerance for Pokemon. --- *is Dranze* Krahen Prophet did a fatality. |

Charizard
is not tanking after Red went and showed us even the viewpoint
character is a low midcarder. I'm taking him to be a couple points

just realized something: 1v1s will seem slow as molasses after this

Yeah,
Frog/Kefka wouldn't really work. For Frog to be able to make a comeback
on Kefka, Kefka would have to impress by actually winning the first 11

I'd
say there's at least a 30% chance of Charizard being marginally
stronger than Pikachu. And he's pretty much equally likely to get a
bandwagon at this point. The main thing Pikachu would have over him is
that awesome Gameboy in-game sprite. I got nostalgic from that and I've
never played Pokemon! The same could have been said about Lucario. He was the closest thing to DP's mascot. Lucario? You can't even mention him in the same sentence as Charizard. Charizard is pretty much universally known among gamers, and he was an original start. I personally think he'll be stronger indirectly as well; he's got too much going for him.
