spoke some last night about how MC/Halo doesn't get any respect here as
far as SFF and such goes, and considering both Halo and TF2 are heavy
on FPS multi-player, there's room to say there's overlap. This doesn't
relate to the idea of the Xbox-hierarchy, but it still fits in with
what I'm saying about people not giving Halo any kind of special break
because it was the king of FPSs. Halo doesn't get any special respect

Halo
is an Xbox character. Spy is a PC character. TF2 and Halo are

I had to guess, I'd say CoD was the king of FPSes at this site. And
perhaps in all the gaming world at this point - I think MW2 outsold the

lead designer of TF2 said that his favorite class was the Spy, so if
they're not linking for him doubt they'd do it for any of the other

FPSers =/= PC FPSers. Remember the outcry when PC gamers found out MW2
for PC would be identical to MW2 for 360 and PS3 rather than getting
the features they were used to? Two completely different fanbases. The overlap between the two isn't going to be very large (though I'm one of those who enjoys playing both Halo multiplayer and TF2). --- Not Wylvane |

Or if Halo would SFF Morrowind? I'm fine with there being no SFF --
that's what I'm arguing, in fact -- and I get they're very different
games for being FPSs (I agree Halo/MW should have more in common). It

game overlaps with virtually every game, obviously, even if it's just
one person. No game is an island. It has to be a special occasion where

Where were you guys when I asked if MC would SFF HK-47, WCC, or GlaDOS then? Why in the world would MC SFF WCC or Glados...? Anyway, I suppose you could've argued the console hierarchy SFF notion before we had ample evidence to the contrary, but that hasn't been the case for a while. Or if Halo would SFF Morrowind? This was more logical. I would've guess this was "somewhat possible" back in the day, although uncertain because they're very, very different genres. Cloud
SFFing Luca just wouldn't happen, mostly because the only people who
have played Suikoden II are fanatical about the series and would vote
for him over just about anyone. That said, the amount of people who
haven't played S2 is so gigantic it wouldn't matter. SFF probably still
exists though. I would vote for Luca in several instances, but in that
match I would indeed vote for Cloud and it would indeed be SFF.
Obviously I would be a minority though. Chief is just crap. I mean he'd perform this way on just about anyone, Luca Blight included. --- :> |
