Claptrap's probably gonna do better than most of you think. Zidane won't lose or anything, but Zidane is pretty damn weak. Dude lost convincingly to Ness and barely beat Shadow. --- If you're seeing this sig, I'm not on my computer! |

Ever since the bracket released, the zidane/claptrap match has had me
worried. seems like a trap match to me, and one that nobody talks about

seriously, it's got nothing to do with Claptrap being western. It's got
everything to do with Claptrap being a camera box. As far as I know,
the thing doesn't have the appeal of a Cube or a Tetris piece. I've
never heard ANYONE talk about it ever outside of this topic. I could at
least say I heard people talk about Portal before GlaDOS and WCC and
people had been rallying for L-Block for years. I don't see this thing

Difference
between Sandal and Claptrap is that people who played Borderlands know
what a Claptrap is. Claptraps are much more prominent in the game than
a single character like Sandal. There's people who have played Dragon Age and have no idea who Sandal was. --- If you're seeing this sig, I'm not on my computer! |

30 people. I did see that rallying topic, but I never looked at it.
Claptrap should do better than Sandal because I hear you can't play
Borderlands without knowing what one is, but I can't see the thing

Difference

what I hear about Claptrap, is he's closer to Vault Boy than Sandal. As
in, he's on menus, and he's seen all over the game. So you can't play

Claptrap's
probably not going to get doubled, but there's very little chance of
him pulling off the upset. Zidane's a low midcarder, so it's not
completely out of the realm of possibility. Prinny/Ike, though, is. Ike's a midcarder, Prinny comes from a franchise whose game beat Fire Emblem thanks to SFF from Melee and Zelda. Well,
Zidane/Claptrap and Ike/Prinny like Fawful/GlaDOS and Cube/Sandal to
me. Guessing percentages on these is a total crapshoot. I went way too
low with my Oracle with Cube and GlaDOS, so I went to the other extreme

Claptrap
shouldn't stand a shot against Zidane, especially with Dissidia if it
means anything...but my brother really liked Claptrap from Borderlands,
enough to load it up and show it to me in the menu. It's a recurring
guy in the game so people know it, plus it had enough nominations to
skip past the vote-in polls without much of a B8-rally (or its company
rallying for it before people bring up Sandal). Throw in that Zidane's
weak, and I figure Claptrap'll aim for the high-thirties. Who knows
though -- it's a weird new character from an original title and
