There's
a good reason why blow-outs aren't coming so easily: the vote-in polls.
Bottom-seeded characters are having to prove themselves through
popularity to get those positions now. Instead of Doc Louis and
Jigglypuff, we got MMX and Sub-Zero. Only the most supported fodder
skipped the vote-in polls, so now characters like Prinny get to face

Falco
probably gets most of his strength from Smash. Melee, too, meaning he'd

After 16 rounds 2k3 - 233 perfects 2k4 - 797 perfects Sp2k5 - 46 perfects 2k5 - 1032 perfects sp2k6 - 474 perfects 2k6 - 2767 perfects 2k7, 2k8, Games 2k9 - 0 perfects 2k10 - 13 perfects It's not quite up to the 4-way contests in terms of difficulty, but this is probably the most difficult 1 on 1 contest so far. I don't have stats for 2k2 and we didn't get stats this early for Sp2k4 so I'm not sure about those. --- "Those whose memories fade seek to carve them in their hearts..." It's amazing that Peach is in the 80% club, though she did get the one opponent that only she could crush like no one else. Who did Magus beat to get 80% anyway? I still think Link/Tingle would be a bigger blowout than Snake/Tanner. Link reduced the formidable Ganondorf to being weaker than CATS, and people actually like Ganondorf. Imagine how Link would do against one of the worst video game characters ever conceived. --- Not Wylvane |

got a good shot at it. Heck, Captain Falcon's got a good shot at it
since he faces Wander. Wouldn't be surprised if Snake manages to quad

Link should get the biggest blowout ever in Link/Tingle, but I'm afraid at this point enough people will find Tingle funny or anti-vote Link for being champion to get him over Tanner's mark. Don't
we have fewer brackets this contest than the other 1v1 contests? That's
probably a factor as well, though even then this is still less than
you'd expect. Doesn't hurt we have more debatable matches in the first two divisions of Round 1 like Alucard/Magus, Red/Ocelot, Shadow/Ammy, Drake/Boss, and Altair/Liquid. Definitely more than we usually have this early! --- Not Wylvane |

I still can't find the analysis crew's new topic! Yeah, I forgot, no ASV. Since I live in India this match started at 10:30am for me. And I was supposed to go to school on Saturday, but I stayed home and finished some homework instead. We all know that that is more enjoyable! How is Mario's ASV nowadays? It seems that his trends somewhat imitate SMG's trends in the games contest, and that's not a very good thing! |

trends are run of the mill Nintendo. Good opening, bad night, excellent
morning, poor DSV, good ASV, bad SNV (except when Mario is pulling off

If Megaman is trailing Cid at the freeze, he's doomed. In fact, he better be at at least 55% at the freeze, or he's probably doomed. Considering how hard Tingle got his ass kicked there, Link would massacre if he got Tingle one-on-one. MASSACRE. Seriously, Tingle got 14.22% on Luigi in a four-way with Mudkip and pre-SSBB Pit. Link put Ganondorf under CATS one-on-one. I'd hope for Link to go get mid-high 90s against Tingle, as he should.
I'm just cautious because there does seem to be a group of voters who
find Mudkip and Tingle funny, and no character has broken even 85%
