That's why we're counting on you to make great Pokemon-pics, KP! And say that PT is not Red in your comment-box with the pictures...I dunno, maybe that'll help.

Also Squall/Geno SFF? If there's no overlap between old and new square then what reason is there to think there is one for Geno?

Yeah, I used to be a fan of saying Geno was SFF'd by Squall and Bowser, but Geno still looks really bad and about the same, so that would mean either Bowser and Squall affect Geno the same amount for different reasons...or that there was no SFF. Between that and seeing Fawful and every Mario-RPG game fail to catch wind here aside from SMRPG, I don't think Geno's got much of a shot...and this is coming from somebody who tried hard to find a reason to pick not-Ness this year.

Geno got ~53% on Deckard Kain. Ness has beaten Jak, CJ, and Zidane worse than that and has had SSBB since then. He should be fine.

I'm wondering, because big daddy is a pretty large character, who are the strongest giants in the contests?
Because a lot of top tier characters seem rather normal in stature or a little short and usually very well built physically, but of the bigger guys I can only think of Bowser and he's not always massive.

I can't think of any reasons Geno has to beat Ness... And a mere 53% on Deckard Cain isn't convincing in the slightest.

Liquid's SFF matches are obviously unreliable, but even in Round 1 (Luigi/Roxas/Sho), he managed over 45% on Luigi. If he's legitimately worth even low 40s on Luigi, then I doubt Altair gives him much trouble. Altair couldn't beat Duke Nukem; there's no way he cracks 40% on Luigi.

GlaDOS is beating Fawful even worse than I expected. Seriously, though, people thought the weak handheld M&L series villain Fawful would take on the well-known villain from Portal, a game that actually has decent strength here?

Didn't expect it to be this bad, but I should have in retrospect. Still surprised it's not close like half the other matches we've had so far!

It's the last vestiges of Nintendofear. For 3 years it did look like all you had to do was be from Nintendo and you'd have some strength.

I still maintain Duke's stronger than most people think. Not strong enough to upset Charizard or even give him a close match, but I expect Duke to break 40% on Charizard, people to declare Charizard weak, and then Charizard to impress with a great match with Kratos. Then people will say Kratos is weak, even after he breaks 90% on Tails, until he beats Sora, that is!

Fawful only has 15% support in the Guru. There was very little Nintendo Fear at work here, especially since Fawful himself is a completely unknown variable and GlaDOS ain't too much better.

Except, I didnt exaggerate. He barely beat Ocelot (200 votes is barely), and Ocelot lost 51-49 to Pac Man in 2005. So how am I exaggerating?

Red would have done better if the match was 24 hours, and his performance doesn't make him fodder or anything. You can barely lose to Pac-Man and still be above the fodderline (but just barely) and Pac had a huge picture advantage at the time.

Red does better, but I really, really doubt he breaks 52% by the end of the match. Heck, he'd probably be lucky to hit 51%.

From: red sox 777 | #441
I don't have much room to talk about Red considering how I was hyping him, but Ocelot is probably a great deal stronger than he was in 2005 when he lost to Pac-Man. Just look at Liquid or Big Boss.

A great deal? Ehhhhhhh, I've seen no reason to believe that. This is still the guy who lost to Jill Valentine and Marcus Fenix.

Yeah, DK's very night-oriented for a Nintendo character. The kiddies don't like him much, I guess. He's an old school guy.
