I'm sucking...For a brief moment I was #1 in the last contest and then fell down the chute...I only have 7 so far, my most recent lost being Cecil/Knux. I'll win this won if Ken holds on.

Down to 443! Wesker just won an update!

Crono's got two good matches against Mario, one against Sonic, and two against Vincent. And there's CT/LttP, which is still my #2 match, and two SM64/CTs.

And then there's Magus, who lost to a bag of sand. But even he has Sandbag, Knuckles, and Ganondorf to his credit.

Analysis

With the division wide open ever since Sonic’s unimpressive performance many people feel that Kirby has a great chance at winning it. This is also the first Nintendo vs. Square match of the contest, though in the opinion of the board they aren’t expecting to see sparks fly. This is more of a match of what the winner gets rather than who wins.

By the end of the previous contest Kirby received a rather large bandwagon making him seem to have strength of around Noble Nine level. While most people agree that Kirby isn’t really that strong I feel that the board is still overrating Kirby by quite a bit. Remember Kirby was easily defeated by Naked Snake and needed everything he got to take down Master Chief who didn’t look so hot in round 1 either. I would be surprised if Kirby was able to defeat any of the second tier Zelda and Mario characters with the exception of Yoshi and I have a feeling that Rikku is going to expose Kirby.

Rikku was one of the bigger snubs from the previous contest and even for this contest she needed the vote-in in order to qualify. While Vaan cost her one of the bigger upsets of 2007 she did put up impressive numbers on Yoshi. If you ignore Tidus Final Fantasy X characters have done well for themselves as a whole, if you ignore the high expectations for Tidus you can include him as well.

Kirby won’t be threatened in this match, but I do see Rikku humbling him a bit. Also with the match going on during the night it should be interesting. I wonder how much of Rikku’s performance will be from the night vote and how much it is Kirby not being a noble nine breaker.

The ending's looking anti-climatic compared to the rest of the match, but this has been a fine one all the same. I think Rikku's gonna put on a show tonight too. It probably won't be as close as this, but I think she'll break 45% pretty easily. IF she can pull off the upset though, the winner of Sonic/Ganon should have a pretty easy time with Rikku/Vivi/Liquid in a day-match. Kirby's the only one that can beat either of them from the bottom side of the bracket.

If Rikku can pull off the stunning upset here, I wouldn't discount the possibility that she'll get bandwagoned a bit. Kirby should have a pretty strong contest reputation.

Kirby is excellent in the Power Hour and ASV, and mediocre with the morning, so Rikku won't need to get much of a lead to win this.

Meh... I have no interest whatsoever in nominating someone who got humiliated by Knuckles and choked away a 2000+ vote lead to a bag of sand who got the stuffing pummeled out of him the following round. Also, I'm just not a crazed CT fanboy.

Fact. If this were a day match, Kirby has this no problem, but as a night match, the outcome's actually mildly in doubt.

Wesker had it down to 418, but now it's 424. Too little, too late.
