My
expectations for Ganon/Sonic haven't really budged even with the
Lightning and Cecil results - Lightning was unknown and had potential,
while Cecil had reasons to be highly underrated in previous years, and
also had reason to boost on top of that. I still think Sonic Team sucks and has fallen off a cliff, but think Sonc will have enough to beat Ganon, especially with the sprite round. But, Ganon has a shot. It's Kirby I'm looking at more though. --- gamefaqscontests.com gamefaqscontests.com/gallery |

Also
how does this bode for Charizard vs. Kratos? I can see Charizard being
about the same as Mewtwo, if not a little bit stronger because he's a
starter/ the face of Pokemon Red/ a ****ing dragon. And surely we'd all

Actually, looking back on it...what contest veteran hasn't
underperformed? Link couldn't break 80% against Thrall. Luigi and X
couldn't double Meta Knight and Price. Alucard and Amaterasu looked
okay, but that was more about Shadow and Magus bombing. Could this be
some sort of contest-wide backlash or something? The only victory that's been impressive so far has been the Cube's... |

Mewtwo's
doing better here than he did against Bowser with Toad, and Ganondorf

may be only the 11th match, but the average victory percent is a lot
lower compare to other 1v1. So far 4 matches had the winner finish

Man,
Mewtwo has 3 good matches and people never shut up about the Midna
match which was 1. Obviously against a decent Midna, considering how

Struggling to beat a super-SFFd AND LFFd Squall is NOT impressive, much as I like him. It's just a big bomb. How do people manage to overreact on an expected result. I expected 65/35, so that's how I'm managing it. Well, we haven't seen any strong characters aside from Nintendo and Sonic yet, so let's wait until we see some Square or other characters first. A point. The strongest Square entrant we've seen so far has been Cecil (and if you factor in the bracket support, he looked pretty damn good). Won't have to wait long for that to change, either, since Rikku and Vivi are coming right up. |

Any Noble Niner would easily beat Mewtwo's percentage if put into his spot in that poll. got roughly 40% on Kratos and 21% on Cloud - that gives Kratos 26.25%
on Cloud. That eyeballs nicely with his 29% on Sephiroth last year, at
least to me. It's also about what Mewtwo got on Cloud in the
Cloud/Snake/Cube/Mewtwo match, where I think you have a decent argument
