To figure out a character's Xsts Percentage ---> [(CvB)(BvA)]/50 = CvA
To compare how C would do against B ---> [(CvA)/(BvA)]*50 = CvB
To figure out how B would do against A ---> [(CvA)/(CvB)]*50 = BvA

~*Say What? Some Common Stat Topic Lingo Defined*~

SFF (Same Fanbase Factor) - Same Fanbase Factor is the theory that, if two contestants share a common fanbase, the weaker of the two options will underperform in a direct matchup. For instance, Link was expected to defeat Ganon with 65% of the vote in 2004, based on their 2003 values. Instead, Link collected near 88% of the vote, because the Zelda fanbase so clearly sided with him. However, take some SFF labels with a grain of salt, as many people will slap it onto any match that doesn't make total sense. This has caused a few SFF jokes, with LordOfDabu's "Some Frivolous Factor" being the funniest of them.

X-Stats - Short form of Extrapolated Statistics, aka the mathematical "strength" of a contestant that can be determined based on their performance in any given matchup. See above for a detailed explanation of the x-stat process.

Noble Nine - Link, Cloud, Sephiroth, Mario, Crono, Solid Snake, Sonic, Samus and Mega Man.

Near-Elite - The Squall, Auron, Tifa, Vincent, Zelda, Kirby, etc group that has come at, near or even ahead of Noble Nine characters in the past.

'He's supposed to look ridiculous' is a bad argument. It doesn't matter how he looks to his fans - I'm pretty sure they'd vote for him either way. To a casual voter, he doesn't exactly look like someone to instantly vote for.

The same applies for GlaDOS. That poll could very well get lower votals then Cube/Sandal.

I don't really like the character of Fawful. That having been said, he has an awesome design, and I think the picture looks bloody awesome. Casual voters should definitely choose him over what looks like a Dark Matter clone.

Wesker could have a decent boost from RE5 and Ken could weaken due to SF aging and I still wouldn't put Wesker any higher than 45%.

Me too, doesn't help that Wesker looks like the biggest pimp in the world(because he is). Ken is pretty much the only thing 90% of the SF4 populace uses, so I hope that will swing in his advantage ^_^

GlaDOS did fine, but Falco falling flat on his face in round 2 probably meant he and GlaDOS got support from not-Vincent voters.

Altair during the day is about as strong as Duke Nukem. Liquid during the day is about as strong as LFF'd Luigi. I know Nintendo LFF is something to be feared, but I don't think the day and picture is making up that difference.

Nah, he's a good deal stronger then Duke during the day. And I'd also expect Altair to be a lot stronger then 2008 since we're coming right off ASsassins Creed 2, while the 2008 contest was like a year after AC1 came out so it wasn't fresh in peoples minds anymore.

I'm pretty sure a match where they are taking up the majority of the percentage is closer to true strength then a match where they're dealing with low teens.

I've been feeling a lot better about Liquid after seeing Boss/Drake and Red/Ocelot. The R2 match should be more fair for Altair than R3 though.
