I wouldn't take much of anything from this. Sandal's probably just bottom feeding fodder. But anyone thinking that joke characters couldn't put up big numbers in this format are gonna be disappointed. I didn't think HK-47 had much of a chance of beating L-Block in the first place. He's not known enough.

A lot of those doubts are from Ngamer's podcast, but the block got very lucky with his fourpack. Soft as all hell.

This is only 100 or so votes higher than usual, so it isn't a huge joke rush either. Normally I'd expect the Cube to fall off a good deal from here...but I'm not so sure it well against Sandal.

Luigi won't blow out the Cube, I don't think. Link will make Luigi's half of the bracket look pretty awful though, Sandal in particular.

I think the vote totals compared against the other matches will be the biggest telling factor as to whether WCC is doing anything in future matches. Sandal was always going to be fodder here.

While I'm all for The Boss winning, I wouldn't be looking all too hard into this.

I think Dragon Age is an excellent game and would probably vote Alistair and Morrigan over about 95% of the field.

...I'm not sure there's even 5 characters in the contest I'd vote Sandal against. I'm not even sure there's any.

Thank GOD I switched from HK to L-Block. I thought maybe the jokes wouldn't do well but then I thought that Tetris probably gets a bit more support than KOTOR...

Anyway, Sandal would probably score 1% on Link. Not much to take from this match. I mean.. he has the disadvantage of being a total joke; being in a very new game that didn't score massive sales; and he has zero casual appeal. His name is ****ing Sandal.

Honestly, the part where you meet Sandal is very rushed, and his father does all the talking. If you don't pay attention and mash the dialog then you'll probably never even pick up his name. Honestly, the only reason I remember his name is because he got into the contest. I've talked to his father more (the father that stands RIGHT NEXT TO HIM) and I don't remember his name. Without this contest Sandal probably would remain nameless to a good chunk of the people that played the whole game.

Whoa, Cube fell over 3%. That's the biggest drop I've seen on the second update since......probably Cloud/CATS. At least I don't remember any other matches where it shifted by that much on the second update.

I'm curious how this dude got a 10 seed if nobody likes him and he had no board support to speak of when his fellow characters were relegated to the vote-in polls, which they did pretty bad in.

**** the haters who think joke characters will be weak here! Yeah, it's another joke, but Cube's bringing in more votes so far than most other characters, and it shows jokes do have strength in this format, even if their paths are set in stone.

Joke VS Joke or not, if the vote total turns out fine then it's still going to show joke-characters can and will get their votes in this format. There goes the argument for HK-47 to advance then, especially if WCC is worth a damn in this format since we've seen L-Block > WCC from 2008.
