Apparently CoD and Uncharted are the same game.

The problem with the theory is Uncharted isn't on Xbox 360 so it loses some potential fans there. Also...they aren't the same game.

It doesn't, but I can't really imagine Nathan Drake being that much less than Price. Their games aren't exactly the same popularity, but Drake is at least a character you use throughout the game and the PS3 is just as owned as the 360 these days. I'm just saying it's a possibility he could be in that low-mid card area.

Now that I think about it, Shadow is a pretty polarizing character in the Sonic fanbase, especially since his spinoff game was pretty much the beginning of the Sonic games sucking horribly. It wouldn't surprise me if a decent chunk of the Sonic fanbase is voting against Shadow just because he's Shadow.

Sonic and Knuckles are probably still stronger than Shadow, but I don't really have any faith in their abilities to beat their Final Fantasy opponents anymore.

Well, my bracket is probably shot now. It's too bad; I was looking forward to getting the board to nominate Dan Hibiki next year.

In other news, now that both Magus and Shadow have choked as badly as possible, I'm feeling a lot better about taking Subz to win two rounds. Let's keep this choke train chokin!

I'm thinking that most 2003 newcomers are just nowhere near as good as they once were in these contests. I mean...

- Shadow went from 45% on Mario to losing against Zidane and Ammy.
- Magus went from 35% on Link to losing to Sandbag and getting killed by Alucard.
- Yoshi was closer to Fox than Sora in 2008, and went from doing better than Squall aginst Snake in 2006 to outright losing to Squall.
- Bowser has gone from almost ending the noble nine to losing to Ryu and being led in the early hours by Phoenix.
- Kefka... Okay, Kefka's always has done bad.
- Tommy's no longer around, Niko did poorly in 2008.
- KOS-MOS has become weaker as time goes by (see 2007).
- Ramza did well aginst Kirby in 2003, five years later, loses to Hogger.
- Master Chief's always has done bad based on expectations, with the exception being 2007, and he follows that up by losing to Dante, who he beat twice the year before.
- Zero's went from doing well against noble niners to losing to characters he once beat (Ryu).

Aruon, Ganondorf, Zelda and Yuna seem to be the only ones who were new that year that are still as strong as (or stronger than) before.

Sora and Luigi are the two odd men out. As years went by, they got a lot better. Sora went from losing to Aeris to beating Aeris and getting close to Squall. Luigi's now on top of the 3-way triangle with Yoshi and Bowser and has some good wins up his sleeve.

Out of those 16 characters I've just mentioned, 10 of them (IMO) have lost their original touch. 4 of them are pretty much the same as before (or slightly better), and 2 of them have improved by a lot.

Can't say the same about the 2004 newcomers. Vivi, Liquid (possibly) and Ryu are now doing better than in 2004 (minus Snake shenanigans), the only one who's now bad is Frog.

Same with 2005. Big Boss now is a lot better, Kratos is now much stronger, and Vincent's still kicking ass.

Interesting to see that Nathan is the favourite in the guru while The Boss is the favourite in the BOP.

I guess the majority of people who submitted their brackets for the guru happened during the GotY poll.
