I've never seen Mega Man advertised in any game store I've been in (living in the UK), or know anyone to like their games. I know lots of people into FPSs, Nintendo, Square RPGs, sandbox games, action games etc., but no MM.

Well, Ammy is up by over 300 votes. I think Shadow's still got a chance, especially if he can get some ASV action going later (I know almost all schools are closed today, but who knows? Maybe people will still follow weekday patterns in internet usage). Unfortunately I'm going to be gone until probably 8 or 9 tonight.

I would be happy with Ammy winning though.

I think it is a mistake to claim that Sonic team sucks just because Shadow sucks.

Think about it. As the years progress:

Bowser is now below Luigi, when previously Bowser > Yoshi > Luigi
Magus has declined more than Crono or Frog.
Ganondorf > Zelda was the common consensus, yet Zelda proved more impressive 2006 on.
Sephiroth does worse and worse against Cloud each year.
Shadow has probably fallen farther than the rest of Sonic team.

Villain / anti-hero deboost?

Or maybe people are finally realizing what a terrible character Shadow is.

It's not just Shadow. Sonic and Knuckles haven't looked that great as of late either. They orginally had the excuse that Sonic characters just happened to be bad in 4 ways. Shadow is showing that isn't true.
