I just checked how MGS/PKMN went between 9 and 12. I know games /= characters, but the games went about even from now until 15.00. Looks like this will be a good match until the end.

Just when after last night I went from wanting Red to get buried to being okay with his winning because that'd get me a point, and Red ends up messing it up (barring a comeback I have quickly lost any hope for).

Duke I also think is stronger than Ocelot. I'd put Duke at the low midcard level, while Ocelot at the fodder line

I thought Kefka was the fodder line? And Ocelot pretty much had a close match with a guy who dominated him.

Regardless Charizard is going to be farther away from Red than Duke from Ocelot (if he even is).

Eh, Ocelot might be low midcard... but he's never impressed me that much to be anything more then that. Plus I thought we also considered PAc Man the fodder line at once point, and he lost to Pac.

I doubt this changes Charizard/Duke, I do have enough faith in Charizard to take care of that, although this didn't help or anything.

Charizard/Kratos though... that seems to have been destroyed (if you ever thought it was alive in the first place) unless Red proves to be... not very representative of Pokemon's strength, and Charizard does.

Not only did I pick Charizard over Kratos - borderline nuts considering how much I promote the latter's strength - there's going to be more GoW3 hype than you can shake a stick at by the time the match rolls around.

This match just shows how weak Ocelot is. I'd argue if Red doesn't come back and win, then he won't ever come back to one of these contests. MMX is going to smash Ocelot so bad Red's going to end up looking even worse.
