We can still predict it by looking at the geolocation. Don't try it, we have no idea of how much the day/night thing affects trends. I would guess that the votals will be lower, and that might benefit some fringe characters. There is also the matter of how many will vote in both polls. --- Ours is not to reason why, ours is but to do and die. |

don't think we can predict it that well right now...but by the end of
the contest, we're going to have a pretty damn good idea. It won't be
perfect, but we've got the minds, numbers, time, and desire to know
what inaccuracies this format will give us compared to the original

Don't try it, we have no idea of how much the day/night thing affects trends. First I've already tried it and second I meant looking at geolocations after the contest has started. Not
new at all; I know how ****ed up the seeds are. After all, there are
two "16-seeds" that I'd advance in second if this were still a four-way
(Ridley and Protoman), and I actually think Proto will score more on
Snake in round 1 than whoever wins Fox-Lloyd will in round 2. And Luigi-Meta Knight IS a legitimate match. Luigi's probably only fourth among the Mario characters, and Meta Knight has the Sword factor, the overused-in-Brawl factor (although that could also earn him some anti-voters), and the video-based intangibles (the YouTube Poops with Luigi from the old '90s cartoon are just hilariously BAD, whereas Meta Knight in the dub of the Kirby anime sounded AWESOME--and even though the gap isn't nearly so great in their Brawl voices, I think Meta still has the edge.). |

Hmm,
looking at that again, it's not as clear cut for Dante as I'd thought.
But no way am I taking Ryu after watching SF2 lose to Sonic 1 and SF4

If
Wesker wins, Ken is the weakest SF-character we've easily seen and/or
RE5 did tons for Wesker. I don't buy either of those, especially to the

Isn't Dante/Ryu a day match? If so, advantage: Dante Oh, and here's two polls that basically give me good confidence in Ken > Wesker: http://www.gamefaqs.com/poll/index.html?poll=2538 http://www.gamefaqs.com/poll/index.html?poll=2892 So if you think Ken > Chun-Li, this should be a pretty obvious pick. I think that was just naturally more exposure for Dante. The same thing
happened to Kratos - he went from 44% on Alucard to 43% on Ryu before

Ryu over Kratos. I peg Kratos around the Gordon Freeman/Charizard level. As for where those guys stand, I have no idea. I'll
still take Ryu. Kratos hasn't impressed me enough to think he's quite
on that level yet. He wasn't able to beat SFF'd Auron last year, for
example, when Ryu did. Yeah, Cloud SFFs Auron harder than Sephy does, but still. He didn't get anywhere near Sonic either. He only got 36% on him. That's pretty sad on Sonic 2008. I can't see Kratos dropping a match to Pikachu with C. Falcon sharing
the poll. With regards to Ryu, am I just missing things, or have his two games (HD Remix and SFIV) since the last contest nary been even mentioned? I've mentioned HD Remix, but I'm still wary about what stuff like that
can actually do for a character's strength. MM9 didn't seem to help

Two
differences in the comparison between Dante boosting from DMC2 and
Wesker boosting from RE5: Dante was the star in DMC2 while Wesker's the
villain, and that was Dante's second game in his young gaming career
while Wesker's had multiple games in the past fourteen years. They're
not exactly the same scenario, so I still don't count on Wesker doing
