I wouldn't take anything from those vote-in polls in determining character strength. They were 12-way polls, so it's easier to defeat a certain character there. If The Boss's poll had been cut down to the top 4, she might have a harder time still being able to defeat Raiden, if she even can.

While we can't determine her strength series rankings tend to follow suit in massive polls with different characters. At worst the poll suggests The Boss to be roughly equal to Raiden.

Still I wouldn't trust those things any more than the GotY polls.

Yeah, it's definitely very different, the 1v1 vs. the 4-way. In 1v1, the only thing you have to worry about is how BADLY you think one character will get beaten by the other. In 4-ways, you've got SFF/LFF to worry about. For example, I've got Tifa>Gordon for round 2, but if it were a 4-way with the same groupings as the current bracket arrangement, I'd have Gordon advancing out of the Jenova division in 2nd place behind Sephiroth after landing in second behind Tifa in each of the first two rounds.

I just spent the 30 minutes listening to Chrono Cross music on Youtube. I had forgotten what a nice soundtrack that game had. That just makes it suck more that the rest of the game was a complete abortion.

Bracket entry page still hasn't been taken down yet. Once it does, it'll give you a 404 error page instead. Not sure if Bacon has to take down that page manually or if he has it set up to do it automatically. Though it is possible to have it taken down automatically.

Even if the contest starts one day later than it really should, it won't affect what time of the day the matches will occur at. Night matches will still start at night and day matches will still start in the day.

Agreed that this is about 10x as confusing as it has any right to be. But I think since the information SB updated most recently was the front page, and in that update he said "only a few hours left!", our best bet is brackets closing within the next half hour or so (he must still have to flip that switch manually).

And regardless, don't worry tranny, our Day/Night setup isn't going to be thrown off.


EDIT - No Lightslayer, they always take a little extra time to close, which is what makes me assume it must be done manually.
