Well
if I were to try to keep it to as few channels as I can, I would point
out that Zidane got 41% on Alucard in 2007. Arthas got 42% on Alucard
in 2008. In 2008, Ike went even with Arthas despite being held back by
Pikachu, so Ike is probably > Arthas. The hole here is that Alucard might have dropped from 2007 to 2008 --- A refusal of praise is a desire to be praised twice. |

might help the lower tier Square leads and villains, it may be just a
PSP game, but it's a psp game where Cloud, Squall and Sephiroth's love

I don't know what expectations you're talking about. Ike was hardly favored heavily in either of those match-ups. So what does Zidane have that would favor him over Ike? Losing to Ness? Barely beating a Wario in front of Link? Ike probably would have beaten Zidane when he was just on a website; who takes Zidane over Gordon Freeman anyway? --- *is Dranze* Krahen Prophet did a fatality. |

That
Duke match came when Ike's only game was Path of Radiance. He was
expected be stronger than but nevertheless lose to Arthas because of

I didn't pick Ike to advance in either 2007 or 2008, but I have Ike > Zidane this year. And it's pretty obvious that Ike did have some Brawl hype helping him in 2007. --- "But you have been given freedom. Freedom to be...outside." "I am lightning...the rain transformed." |

Where
you guys even here in 2007. Ike VS Gordon was a one of the most debated
matches that contest, and I think only me and about 6 others had Duke
advance in that match. I admit Zidane haven't proved himself to be a powerhouse in the contest, but he faced Crono in 2005, didn't let Alucard, Liquid Snake and Ness run over him and beat Shadow (who is still a top 40 character) last year before he got SFF'D against Zack. And then there's Dissida which can't make Zidane weaker. But feel free to mock me if Ike upsets Zidane, because I can't think of anything that gives Ike the advantage. --- Ngamer64: Zylo, you're making less sense every day. KrahenProfit > Me |

But
what gives Zidane the advantage? Beating Shadow? How do you explain him
being so close to Wario? Would you really take Ike to be that much less

by the way, the fact that Zidane managed to win a squeaker against an
SFF'd Shadow, who one year earlier was losing updates to Pyramid Head,

day vote is of old school FF levels of calamity. I'm not big on
day/night changing a whole lot, but in a match like Ike/Zidane where
Ike is already the favorite, it basically rules out any chance of

The
whole day/night thing doesn't seem like it's going to give any
character some big advantage over another. The people who vote at night
will just be voting during the day, you'll get a mixing of the two

agree mostly, though I definitely think night bleeds into day more than
day bleeds into night and night matches could be really weird. But in
the case of something like Ike/Zidane where the advantage is so
overwhelming it's going to make a difference. There were, I think, four
1v1 matches from 2k5 and 2k6 where a hard cutoff would have changed the
results...and both of Ike's fourway matches would have changed in the

I'd
agree with that... I don't think day characters will see any
advantages, night characters might be able to pull off some close ones
if it's a night match. Just seems like the night voters are more

Yeah trends based on a match where someone for 6% in a fourway poll sure do matter. Games' trends don't really differ much from the trends of characters. If someone can find me an example of a case where this isn't true, I'd be glad to change my mind on it, but Uncharted's day vote was pretty bad, so Drake's probably will be, too. --- "Stay with me until the end.
