The first time I saw the main character in Brütal Legend I thought it was Axel Steel, I'm sure that many who have no idea who Eddie Riggs is will vote for him because they think they are voting for the GH character.

Dammit Board 8, I used to have Eddie in my bracket because Ratchet is weak... I would even pick Guybrush over him, but then decided to change just because at least people have heard of him and everyone else had him. And NOW you talk about this match..

That poll shows BL had decent attention here, its GameFAQs-scores show it was pretty well-received, Eddie Riggs is the star instead of an avatar, and we've seen Ratchet suck in a variety of ways. I mean, he only got ~57% on Nana -- probably the weakest Nintendo-character we've ever seen (she would have done just as bad or worse against Kirby as Lucas), somebody that we could say is only half of a still-very-weak character-team. Ratchet looked worse against Wesker than Sackboy did despite having no games and sharing the poll with Solid, too.

Eddie's got to bomb HARD, and we've not seen much to support that yet. We've not seen much from him or his game in general, but nothing we've seen yet suggests something so poor as to lose to Ratchet.

Hey look, Ratchet & Clank beat Uncharted easily before the second game came out. It's almost like Uncharted wasn't very popular until the second game came out. I can't imagine the sequel to such a game not being looked forward to that much.

Congrats to KrahenProfit

There are a few battles that have been bugging me. One, which has been mentioned before, is Alucard-Magus. That's the sign of a good 8-9 match; it really DOES seem equal.

Another is Luigi-Meta Knight. This one SHOULDN'T be close, but Meta Knight is broken in Brawl, has the always-popular Sword factor, and Luigi is kind of the Butt Monkey of the Mario franchise. Furthermore, pick that one wrong and you kill your bracket, since whoever wins will likely make it all the way to the division finals before losing to Link.

Vivi-Altair in round 2 is another troublesome one, in that I seem to be leaning toward the lower seed. I suppose that's possible, though.

Also, another 8-9 match worth talking about: Big Boss vs. Miles Edgeworth. I remember someone mentioning "yaoi" earlier in this topic, and I know that Edgey has quite the female fanbase, so if Big Boss gets a bad pic, Edgeworth's got the upset without a doubt. On the other hand, if Big Boss gets a Naked Snake pic, he should easily win. This is quite the problem. I'm sure the pics have been confirmed by now, but what's Big Boss got?

I honestly think people like the Ratchet and Clank duo as a whole rather than just ratchet, I think if clank was alone he'd bomb hard, but in a tag team scenario I think those two together would be much better than on an individual level.

Please stop bringing this up in topics. Meta Knight will be lucky to get 20% in that poll.
