As
hard as PS3/360/PC try they're just LFF each other since they have the
same games and that Nintendo doesn't need third party support to make a

Since
SB skipped over the MMORPG and Remake polls, that means we will get a
poll related to the contest, unless there is a need for a "Final, Final
Vote" poll. Even then, it could still be possible to run 2 polls at the

that is not what I said, Magus being underrated was possible, being
weaker than Knuckles was impossible unless you took a SFF character. That's not true. I seem to remember that there was a scenario that dropped Magus below Knuckles, but I kinda disregarded it since it put him below Tidus, too. Yeah,
either Game of the Decade or Have you Entered your BRacket is getting

Yep,
look at this. Based on Sam Fisher's 2004 number, he gets only 30% on

Nintendo's
not going to dominate the contest. I'll be like last year- Gamefaqs
will be Deboost central once again. In particular, the Nintendo
secondary and tertiary characters are in for a world of hurt again.

For
all the hell the Wii catches, it's still the only system this
generation that's won the SotY-poll twice and this will be the first
year it doesn't get the GotY since it came out. It's hard to imagine
the Wii picking back up without some of its major releases landing (are
SMG2 and Other M due this year or next? I doubt the next LoZ-game makes
it this year). Then again though, what other major exclusives/non-Wii
games will be coming out for the PS3/360 in the next year or so? FF13's
easily the biggest off-hand, but I don't know what else is announced

doesn't hurt Drake's chances, but I dunno if it helps either. I want to
see Uncharted 2 beat NSMBW before I switch, though that may not be
necessary. Either way though, I imagine the PS3's getting a lot of

I
don't mean to take anything away from the PS3 like that, but people
became a lot more open to the PS3 when the price-cut came and that
stopped a lot of the jokes and hate. MGS4 and LBP only did so much for
the PS3 in 2008's SotY-poll, and I doubt the Uncharted 2/Demon's Souls
is a bigger combo than that. I'm just saying the price-cut did a lot to

She doesn't. The onus of proof is on Drake since he sucked so horribly last year though. The
Boss was able to beat Tails in 2007 and take second place in a vote-in
poll despite Raiden (and actually beat Raiden). Big Boss has impressed
in recent years as well, and MGS3 has aged like wine so the crew's not
in bad shape. She's no major opponent, but she's got her place in the
MGS/Playstation-fanbases and it's still on Drake to prove he can outdo

It can't hurt,
but it's not helping much either. The influx of PS3 owners -- and why
it's winning the poll today -- don't really have anything to do with

Contest starts on the 15th, actually. I think it's going to be the 16th, not 15th. Bracket submission typically closes at 7pm PST/10pmEST. The front page says bracket submission closes on the 15th. That likely means 7pm PST on the 15th with the first match starting 2 hours after bracket lockdown. Has anyone managed to contact creativename about the automatical poll update collector? I never tried contacting him, even though I do have his email address saved somewhere from when I emailed him during the last contest. But I did try talking to Ngamer about a week ago and here's what he said: Luster Reloaded (12:24:56 AM): Have you gotten in contact with creativename yet? He needs to set up his match updater to properly handle the 12 hour matches, if he doesn't already done that. Out of anyone that knows him, you should have the best luck in contacting him.
