Midna was in a much more successful game then AC2, and was claimed by many sites and by many Zelda fans as well as being the best new character in that entire franchise.

I'm pretty sure I've been arguing those points. You say he's strong because his game is well received and he's brand new. I'm comparing him to Midna, who was in a much more popular game.

Uh, wait, I think we lost track somewhere. I don't really care whether Altair or Ezio is stronger at this point, Altair's got his hands full with Liquid either way. He's probably not going to be a lot stronger than he was in 2008, and Liquid did a fine job that year.

And you're telling me that Ezio is stronger than Altair. Again I argued that point by telling you that Altair has had a couple of years for his fan base to grow, more known to the gaming public, and has been introduced in these contests before. He's also referenced many times in AC1, and his gear and sword are the strongest in the game. So I don't really see where you get off saying I'm completely ignoring your points. Maybe you should pay attention more.

Before she was introduced in these contests, she had everything going her way. We had no idea how weak she was going to be. The reason why we were so disappointed with her is because she was a very good character from the Zelda game that everyone was hyping as the next "Ocarina of Time".

The whole reason I bring her up is because KP thinks that a character that starred in a less popular game will somehow be strong, when Midna proved already that that isn't the case.

I don't think either Ezio or Altair are going to be that strong however. Both are gone in the second round.

Exactly! That's why, in the next contest, the match between the two of them will be more debatable. As of right now, you've got a character that starred in a very good game who's been around for a few years Vs. a character who's starred in a very good games who's been around for a month or two. There's no chance for Ezio in a Ezio/Altair match.

Laws. Canadians had it the same way a few years ago because in order to win anything for free, we'd have to answer a skill-testing question (very easy math question). I'm sure SBallen is trying to find away around those countries' laws in order for them to win prizes.

Also, about Altair: AC was out for ten months when we first saw him in 2008 (eleven for his two matches with Duke Nukem). That's plenty of time for Altair's strength to find its general level. An AC2-influx certainly won't hurt him, but considering his minor role/appearance in it and that AC2 seems to be leaving AC behind in the dust, I don't know how much that is really going to do for Altair.

Does anybody have the sales-numbers for AC since October '08?

I never understood why Canadians (except Quebec) weren't allowed. Predicting the bracket was like a giant skill testing quesiton.



Also while Altair may get a boost, he's not reaching Liquid level. He was around the fodder line last question.

No way that would happen. Though it'd be hilarious watching Vader underperform with an Anakin picture (which would technically work since Anakin was Vader for a little bit before getting his iconic suit).

Darth Vader's probably not as popular as people think he is here. All of the kiddies who grew up on the PT wouldn't connect to him as much. He'd be popular, but I wouldn't take him to beat the big comic book guys like Batman, Spider-Man and Wolverine.
