FFVII's
night vote is always very strong. The men just tend to get stronger and
stronger as the match goes along, with the exception of 2008 and FFVII
in the Games Contest. Its day vote has apparently vanished. The match was held on a Sunday. Was it? Hmmm...Regardless, she still managed to beat a Sonic character during the day, even if it is Tails. --- "The great GF...Bahamut." "...GF? I...? Using my powers...It is you humans...I fear..." |

And
that would still be a big fall for SF2; it went from 43.76% on SMRPG to
44.48% on Sonic 1. How much do you want to take Sonic 1 to get on SMRPG? I wonder if this says anything about how the characters will perform.. --- *is Dranze* Krahen Prophet did a fatality. |

There
is literally no reason to suspect Altair is stronger than Ezio.
Altair's strength comes from being from a high-selling game and having
an appealing design. Ezio matches him in both those categories except
his game (and himself) were infinitely better received. Easy choice. --- KrahenProphet lived up to his name. |

Ezio is basically Altair version 2.0. Look at it this way. People who have only played AC1 will vote for Altair. People who have played both games will vote either way. People who have never played AC1/2 will vote for Altair (thinking Ezio is Altair). People who have only played AC2 will vote for Ezio. Going by vgcharts, Assassin's Creed 1 outsold Assassin's Creed 2 easily (about 4 million to 2.5 million). People who have only played AC1 will vote for Altair. People who have played both games will vote either way. People who have only played AC2 will vote for Ezio. k. People who have never played AC1/2 will vote for Altair (thinking Ezio is Altair). This is entirely stupid. They're going to vote for both because both have the exact same design. People who haven't played either aren't going to go "Hmm, that guy looks like the guy from Assassin's Creed. I have no idea who he is and I refuse to vote for him!" They're going to go "These guys looks cool, imma vote for them." Going by vgcharts, Assassin's Creed 1 outsold Assassin's Creed 2 easily (about 4 million to 2.5 million). Also, AC2 is too new to have any strength on it's own merits, so Ezio doesn't have much going for him other then a very easy first round match. For casuals games, being new is everything. Chief during Halo 3? Amazing. Chief after Halo 3? Dud. Not to mention Marcus Fenix' drop from one year to the next. AC2 is set to match the original in sales, and while it won't quite have as much come contest test, it doesn't change the fact that the second game was much better received. Look at the reader reviews for both games. Do you think Sandal will be strong too? I mean, that character stars in a well-received game as well here, and it's looking to be about even with AC2 in popularity based on this GotY poll. don't know why you people think any new character will have strength.
We've seen it many times before. Kratos being weak in his first year.
Sora being weak in his first year. Balthier and Midna as well, and I'm
sure if I looked I could find more. All these characters were
introduced in games and jumped into the contest the next year. All of
them were weak as hell. The following year(s), they've all grown
stronger for no apparent reason. It's because more people were introduced to these characters and found out who they were and what they were all about. This will happen with Altair. --- Good Times, Great Memories |

didn't do that badly. He got 45% on Alucard when that actually meant
something. Sora faced Aerith (why would you even bring this match up?).

The following year(s), they've all grown stronger for no apparent reason. Uh...they all had sequels. Except for Midna, who was SFFd in 2007. Quick question; when did the 2k8 contest start? Because I'm pretty sure AC was out for over half a year before the contest started. Being
from a well-liked game is incredibly important. Look at Balthier -
everyone calls him the Han Solo of the game, and he tanked because
