I wouldn't be surprised, and if KH358/2 wasn't going to be in the poll I'll fully agree. This will be good to see how dedicated the Halo-fanbase is though; its weakest FPS-game against the game that broke all of the Halo-series' records? Yeah, this will be a fun one to watch.

I just realized that Nathan Drake Vs. The Boss takes place on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, which means no ASV for Drake, or just a small one instead. Hmmm. This might change things somewhat.

Like we can even guess what those will be.

But the point is that people in America will have all day to vote, so it's not going to be a big advantage for Drake.

Plus, Drake didn't show any day vote last year nor did Uncharted 2 in the GOTY poll.

We don't even need proof to know that trends will be different.

Though looking at time zones I can tell you right now that even if a day match takes a hit because of holiday/weekend trends the European vote won't exactly fill in the void, iirc the day match in London would be from 8pm-8am.

Since we are discussing holidays, the Gordon/Peach match will fall on President's Day (though according to Wikipedia, it's legally known as Washington's Birthday by the US Government). Calendars here will almost always say "President's Day" on it.

Anyways, that's the only other holiday during the contest in which schools in America closed for that day and many people don't go to work that day.

In New England and the Seattle area at least, for primary and secondary schools, winter break is in the middle of february and spring break is in the middle of April. But I'm sure different schools/states/regions are going to have it different weeks.

Easter is never actually a fixed date. It is the first Sunday after the first full moon after March 21st, I believe.

Ha, I just did the same thing. Winter Break is the last week of February and Spring Break is the last week of April, as expected, but I was shocked to see that the tentative last day of school (that is, if there are no snowdays, and there are always a few) is June 9th! Shockingly early, but then I checked the first day of school, which was the equally shockingly early August 24th.
