The first 3 games were popular, but not massive games, that were more focused on the single player then multiplayer. So, yeah. I think Ellis will be interesting to see, as he's from a multiplayer-only game with a strong emphasis on characterization. --- KrahenProphet lived up to his name. |

CoD2
was a somewhat-big game here -- it was the 360-GotY in its first year
(2005) in a time we thought Perfect Dark Zero was gonna run over it,
and 2005 wasn't a very big year for gaming aside from RE4 either.
Still, I don't think CoD1/3 were that big and I remember friends
showing me CoD2 for its multi-player, not single-player. Still, Price is a series mainstay, so maybe that means something. If Albion is jumping off the Soap bandwagon, it's probably time for me to do so as well. This shift towards the PS3 and away from the 360 complicates things for me. everyone bet against Matt the Mii and that played out... exactly as everyone expected it. ;>_> I just have a really hard time anyone cares about CoD characters. I beat CoD 2 and I can't name a single character from it, except Price, but only because you just said Price is in it... and I beat CoD 4 like two months ago and can only remember the three characters that happen to be in this contest. And in terms of how big the first 3 CoD games were compared to 4 and later... Yeah,
I think I'm going to keep that Soap upset pick. I'd be really confident
in him beating Big Daddy or Ness if the match were held now while MW2
hype/excitement is still around. I hope Modern Warfare 2 doesn't turn
out to be Halo 3 part two where as soon as the hype and excitement

thing is that it does feel like MW2 is going the way of Halo 3. Last
month people were calling the easy GotY, now I don't think it even has

Actually my bad, MW2 is now 3rd in their poll (the poll is running for a month) 1. Uncharted 2 (25%) 2. Dragon Age (20%) 3. Modern Warfare 2 (13%) 4. Assassins Creed 2 (12%) 5. Batman: Arkham Asylum (10%) Uncharted 2 has really fallen since last I saw it. If that poll was rerun, I'll bet you the order is perfectly reversed. Considering how MP did in BGE2, I'm taking MP2:E to be in last place if that poll's reran. GotYs and BGE2), and I'd take RE4 (which LoZ:TP beat three times) over

Maybe it's because I'm drunk right now, but... Eh, even right now I'm still hesitant on picking FO3 over TP. I'd probably pick it over RE4 and KH2, though I'm not 100% quite yet. Maybe when I'm sober and can bull**** up a good argument! --- Not Wylvane |
