No, after KH3, I won't even be thinking about Crono > Mario. We'll move on to bigger targets. Like Sephiroth. Then after Chrono 3 and Crono's inclusion in SSB4.....your turn, Link! --- Link he come to town to dominate all other characters and trample them down with his sword of more votes. |

I'm going to make a prediction here: The format will hurt the characters who benefit from people just coming to the site for FAQs, seeing the poll, and voting, the most. It will hurt characters whose fanbases follow the contest closely the least. That is, I expect characters who do well in the power hour to prosper under this format (and the flip side of this is that I expect FFVII will not prosper). --- Link he come to town to dominate all other characters and trample them down with his sword of more votes. |

Snake/Sephiroth
is a pretty tough match to call here. That's going to be a day match,
which I think works great for Snake. Snake's day vote is slightly
better now due to Brawl. And Sephiroth is still Sephiroth with his bad
day vote. MGS4 is also farther away now from the release date since the last time Snake was in a match, so Snake has a possible reason to drop in strength since last year. --- Luster Soldier --- ~Shield Bearer~ | ~Data Analyst~ Popular at school, but not as cool as KrahenProphet, Guru Champ! |

Isn't Squall pretty much the main character of Dissidia? His role seemed really big compared to the NES guys, except maybe for WoL. --- Shakes Fist! |
red sox 777 | Posted 12/15/2009 4:48:33 PM | message detail |
And
having said that, I've made up my mind on Snake/Sephiroth. It's going
to be the most anticipated match of the contest, hopefully the kind of
match that highlights what 1v1 is all about. --- Link he come to town to dominate all other characters and trample them down with his sword of more votes. |

Just took a quick look at the bracket, initial thoughts: - Some pretty weak placement for NNers and the nears (Vincent getting fed to Sephy in round 2? Mega Man getting a joke half-division then getting fed to Mario again? Squall/Snake again? Really?) - A couple of interesting-on-paper weak matches but nothing to write home about - All in all, a pretty crappy bracket. Too much fodder-crap clogging up the contest Goddamn it Bacon --- http://fc03.deviantart.com/fs14/f/2007/020/b/f/Ariel_by_lolita_art.jpg |

These
night and day matches will be interesting because it allows us to see
which continents have a higher percentage of the total votes in one
match compared to the other match hosted on the same day. North America
contributes about 76% of the votes in a 24 hour match and that
percentage should be higher in the day matches and lower in the night
matches. --- Luster Soldier --- ~Shield Bearer~ | ~Data Analyst~ Popular at school, but not as cool as KrahenProphet, Guru Champ! |

From: PartOfYourWorld | Posted: 12/15/2009 7:39:51 PM | #152 We will! Message From UltiX on 12/15/2009 I LOVE THIS AND I LOVE YOU. Thank you so much for 1v1s, and with a _really_ fun twist attached. This is awesome in every conceivable way. My question is this. Some people in the stats topic were thinking if you 'gave in' and did 1v1s again, that bracket contests were in big trouble. Contests aren't in trouble, right? You find them fun and you'll keep doing them now and then, right? Message From GameFAQs on 12/16/2009 Contests aren't going anywhere, and there was nothing "given in" for this one. I had it planned well in advance and already have plans for the next type whenever I decide to change it again. --- .,¸¸,.·´¯`·.,¸¸,.·´¯`·.,¸¸,.~*ST*~.,¸¸,.·´¯`·.,¸¸,.·´`·.,¸¸,. http://img.imgcake.com/mjpop.gif |
