But the overall results is pointless to use as an indicator We were talking about the difference moving from a 24 hour poll to a 12 hour poll will have on the match. For example, if Crono/Yoshi only moves 2% in going from a 24-hour poll to a 12-hour poll, then Yoshi would have to break 48% normally to win. --- Link he come to town to dominate all other characters and trample them down with his sword of more votes. |

Zidane,
but I'd probably take him over Ammy too, at least before looking at any
stats. The other thing is that Link was in that match, which is why I

It's
too bad about the final rounds being full matches. Could at least have
an argument for Link losing in a night match, but the only opponents
anywhere near him will be in the final. --- KrahenProphet and Nintendo cleaned me out in the Guru Contest. |

Amaterasu/Shadow I took Shadow without much hesitation, but ever since then I've been questioning the wisdom of taking a Sonic character to win without much hesitation. GlaDOS/Fawful Took GlaDOS without much hesitation. Master Chief/Hayabusa Took Chief, probably with less hesitation than I should have. I'm just looking to get burned for assuming Day Chief can get by. Kefka/Arthas (at night) Arthas after thinking about it for a few moments. L-Block/HK-47 L-Block but I've been thinking about it ever since, and I want to pick HK, but... Charizard/Duke Charizard, but this being a night match is making me think. Niko/Jill Jill with little hesitation. Wright/Jecht Jecht with little hesitation. Also looking to get burned on this! I
took Red over Ocelot without a second's thought, but MMX is asking for
too much. Red has to be at least a few notches stronger than any of the
Pokemon to stand a chance, and we're still not sure how well the Pokeys

Yeah, I think Red is more likely to lose to Ocelot than he is to beat MMX. But I'm not going to argue against the pick too fervently because I've been burned by Pokemon too much in the past. It's

anywhere near him will be in the final. The only opponent near Link is Cloud. A night match Link vs Cloud won't be very different from the first 12 hours of a 24 hour Link vs Cloud and Link was way ahead of Cloud at the 12 hour mark during their last 1 on 1 encounter in 2006. not sure why everyone thinks a night match is so bad for Red when Red's
strongest time is easily the ridiculous Pokemon early vote. RBY's ASV

What's
the consensus on Alucard/Magus? I took Alucard without thinking, but
both characters recent performances are drawing a blank in my mind. I
immediately see Alucard as a sweet sixteen character still, and that's

of them have fallen really far from 2003. Magus was always a lot
