Hey, this has already probably been discussed but I was wondering what the thoughts are on Yuna and her contest strength? I'm calling that Zack was bandwagoned. Sackboy
actually managed to get in before his game came out, something
Bayonetta couldn't do despite more Board 8ers fighting for her. He
could be stronger this year. He also drew an awful opponent last year.
He's an underdog, but I think he could be a worthwhile gamble. Same with Gordon. He just won a pretty big contest. All Valve has to do is dip their fingers in once more and Tifa is forked. Even without direct Valve interference, some residual support from the GameSpot contest can really make things heated, and the match's timeframe favors Gordon as well. Yuna vs Zack is a tossup, and the winner loses to Mega Man. ^ See this is a major issue for me, I just don't get megaman. I've never played any megaman games, so I don't understand his strength. Oh man, bracket time! Good times. Sonic versus Lightning, that match is crazy. FF XIII looks great, and Lightning looks like a cool heroine, but it's kind of weird having characters from something that's not out yet in the contest. I mean, I'm pretty much voting based on trailers, versus that guy from one of the cooler platformer series of the 16-bit generation. You're
really overestimating the difference between day and night, Albion. Not
even taking into account the trend shifts that are inevitable from this
change, tt's the first 12 hours against the last 12 hours of the poll.

Man X wasn't considered eligible by Ceej though, so who knows if he
would've gotten in before 2007. There was no reason to nominate Zack

Finally looked at the bracket and got caught up with reading everything in this topic. Alucard > Link all part of the plan ! - All of Sora's matches will be night matches. "Lol fodder" - All of Master Chief's matches will be day matches. GAME FUEL, believe. - Crono vs Missingno is a day match haha this could be fun. XD at Lopen. I'm not a huge fan of 12 hour matches. Vote totals will suck for night matches. Although this could be countered by the fact that the first hour of a night match would get more votes than the first hour of a day match. They just need to build up a large enough lead to last for only 12 hours. I think L-Block and Weighted Companion Cube would perform better with night matches than day matches. L-Block is going up against HK-47 in round 1 and Isaac in round 2 and both of them should have a bad night vote (Isaac definitely will). L-Block looks good for round 3 there. The only thing that seems interesting here is which type of match gets better votals with the board vote alone. sure I'd take Charizard that close to Mewtwo though. He's the FACE of
R/B/Y just as much as Blastoise is from what I can tell, maybe his card

don't think the Pokemon can cause too much damage one way or the other.
Pikachu hits a brick wall at Snake. Red hits another at MMX. Mewtwo is
done at the start (barring an SFF upset that would make this place
unbearable for a while). I think Charizard has the most potential for
damage, which is why I actually have him over Duke and Kratos. Kratos/Pika was 55/45 on GameSpot, right? I wouldn't be surprised if Charizard is stronger than Pikachu, and I expect a Kratos/Pika match to be a bit closer here, regardless. Actually, now that I think about, you Poke-fans should probably roll the dice on Mewtwo>Ganon. At least that one has the potential for weird SFF crap from Ganondorf. match would get more votes than the first hour of a day match. This may no longer be true. The first few hours get as many votes as they do because they are the first hours of the match.
