I
assume (or hope) Sonic's division will be Sonic and a bunch of
near-elites trying to take down the Noble Nine. If Sonic survives that,
Link/Sonic is going to be ugly. --- Link he come to town to dominate all other characters and trample them down with his sword of more votes. |

Yeah, 1 seed predix: Link Sonic Mario Sora Bleh. Maybe red sox gets his Mario/Crono match (if Crono is in Heart and he can beat Sora!), but neither of those matches are particularly interesting. Still, Sonic and Sora are quite beatable, so the divisions themselves could be good. Samus Cloud Snake Sephiroth Snake/Sephy is nice, Cloud/Samus not so much. Samus looks like she gets wasted this contest, unless Snake beats Sephy and then we can compare directly against Cloud. Still kinda boring. Obviously Link wins the final. Maybe
Samus can face a near elite just to see how close the near elites are

I
don't mind Samus's position.....I'd rather she face Snake or Sephiroth,
but if not those 2, Cloud at least provides a great match for seeing
how strong she really is, something that she hasn't had since the last

Anyway
I'm not sure if anyone (who pays attention) wouldn't immediately jump
on a Squall/Auron/Vincent > MM so...yeah. Seems like it would just
be more of an inevitable conclusion than an upset. --- KrahenProphet lived up to his name. |

I don't want to argue about this right now, but Mario's not getting a

and it's possible that Mega Man could have MM10 by the time a match
with a near elite rolls around. Not that it will probably matter, but

wouldn't. I would jump on any of those over Sonic, but MM has seemed a
step above him the past 2 years (maybe a sizable step last year), and
hasn't seemed any weaker than he was in 2006. It was embarassing then
because MM used to be stronger than that, but he was still stronger
than Vincent that year. Sora just isn't very far at all from that
Vincent/Squall/Auron group. Oh, and I would take Squall > Vincent now- not with much more confidence than thinking of it as a toss-up, but I would take it. --- Link he come to town to dominate all other characters and trample them down with his sword of more votes. |

The way I see it, it's always better to let the contest decide disputes rather than us deciding beforehand which upsets can happen and which can't. So if anyone wants to place near-elite x up against Crono to try to break the Noble Nine- go ahead.
