I remember Sho (or was it Neku?) taking a huge jump upward when pictures were restored to his match. Ganondorf took a large dive downward, while Frog and KOS-MOS didn't move much.

Her game's going to come and go, just like Sackboy's.

Lightning actually put a decent performance and is headlining the next big game in one of the two big series on GameFAQs. Bayonetta's in a game that may get critical acclaim but most gamers won't remember even three months from now.

She'll be lucky to break the fodder line in her peak strength. I'm doubtful if she'll even show up next contest.

CURRENTLY PLAYING: Super Mario 64 DS (DS), Tails Adventure (Game Gear)

Geolocation time.

North America care less about Final Fantasy and more about Chrono Trigger. Metal Gear also perform sub-par in North America. They don't get Archer at all and Bioshock performs best there.

South America For some inexplicable reason like Archer. It comes as no surprise that they love Frog, and they also place Liquid prety high. Rikku does average. Bioshock takes the biggest hit there.

Europe Is MGS central and it shows as Liquid threatens for first place there. It is also quite supportive of Final Fantasy, and so Rikku ends up winning there. Frog takes a rather nasty hit there, but maybe not as large as before...

Asia worships Final Fantasy, so of course Rikku wins big-time there. MGS is also high on their list, so Liquid gets a solid second place. CT never were all that popular in Asia (they love Nomura, not Square) so it takes a large hit. Archer is just awesome, and everything else bombs.

Oceania is Europe lite except that they care less about Big Daddy

And man, Doc is not doing so good, but at least he's doing it in style.

I don't really get the appeal of Jecht, I enjoyed FFX but hi character doesn't really stay with me.

The only instance of Sub-Zero vs FFX I could find were against Auron in 2006. In that match, Subby tok a hit in the night but recovered in the morning.

The only other instance of MK vs FF I can find was two days ago, and Scorpion did better in North America then anywhere else while Lightning did worse in North America then anywhere else.

I'd say that is consistent evidence that Sub-Zero ought to take the day vote from Jecht

I really like Jecht's performance though. If this were indicative of his contest strength, which it probably isn't, he'd be much stronger than I ever imagined., and I've been nominating the guy for 3 years.

today's results are pretty predictable. Jecht's decent like everyone else in FF10 that isn't a fin, Sub-Zero's noticeably better than Scorpion, Spy's taking advantage of standing out a bit thanks to being the only real PC character, and everyone else is fodder. it still sucks that Bayonetta's having to go through this since the whole point was that she'll be much more popular when her game is out, but oh well, not a huge loss. Proto Man picked the single best day he could have come back with MM10 being announced six hours prior and he still can't break 10%. not very impressive for someone we've talked about for over five years.

And looking at yesterday's Geolocation results, Big Daddy was an easy second place in the U.S. and Liquid lost to Midna. Good thing MGS is still so strong in Europe. Archer got second place in the Philippines!

Not sure how Proto Man is disappointing here. He's right behind Ridley, the only Nintendo option in the poll, and Spy, who has the benefit of rabid TF2/Valve fanboys in a 12-way poll.
