the
point is, good characters are able to fight off SFF from weak
characters. Thats why Big Daddy is looking good today. If you are being
sff'd to death by a glitch and a crappy fodder pokemon, then you dont
deserve to get in --- http://card.mygamercard.net/nxe/Albion+Hero.png Nominate Vault Boy! |

I guess this confirms that not only the winner in each poll gets to the bracket. But still aw yeah Frog!! --- Ngamer64: Zylo, you're making less sense every day. KrahenProfit > Me |

If it's top 6 then that means for a while Archer would have actually made it! --- Demyx is better than Axel. |

Team Rocket Elite | Posted 12/9/2009 2:28:49 PM | message detail |
Strong
characters can get badly SFF'd. Once again I point to Ganondorf vs
Link. It's an extreme example but it shows that it's possible. Mudkip
isn't that weak. Missingno. won the poll and may have a fair bit of
strength. Big Daddy is the stronger character in the SFF relationship
in this match and there are only two characters. Jigglypuff was the
weakest of the three Pokemon and one of those was the top vote getter
in the match. --- "Those whose memories fade seek to carve them in their hearts..." "All dreams are but another reality. Never forget..." |

also I laud bacon for making these obvious sff matches to weed out tons of characters from the same series Which means that there's a good chance that Tails, Knuckles and Shadow will be in the same poll. --- Ngamer64: Zylo, you're making less sense every day. KrahenProfit > Me |

Really?
I've been watching the poll for a the last half-hour or so and it's
been hovering around a 150 vote lead. Archer's day vote is bad, yeah,
but apparently only as bad as Diddy Kong's and not abysmal like we
thought. --- KrahenProphet lived up to his name. |
transients | Posted 12/9/2009 2:38:13 PM | message detail |
I
agree with the masses here. if you can't pull 5% in a poll with a whole
crapload of crap, you don't deserve a second chance. Ganon is the
exception, not the rule. it's not like Mudkip SFF'd Jigglypuff into the
ground or anything. let's be real. --- xyzzy |

No such thing as too many Pokemon. =D When TRE becomes the admin we will only have "Best Pokémon Ever" contests, and he will be super pissed that Missingno wins every year ^_^ --- Ngamer64: Zylo, you're making less sense every day. KrahenProfit > Me |

Diddy needs to worry more about Frank West than he does about Archer. ...Just typing that out made me sad. --- "I can set you free, mate." "My freedom was forfeit long ago!" |
AmazingKirby | Posted 12/9/2009 2:42:14 PM | message detail |
Oh no...I hope he doesn't just take the winner of each poll. All of my efforts can't be in vain! Do you think Frog would beat Rikku one on one? If not, why is he winning now!? --- Vote for Rikku in today's poll on the front page! |
KamikazePotato | Posted 12/9/2009 2:43:32 PM | message detail |
Rikku
would stomp Frog 1 v 1. Frog is just doing well in this poll because
everyone wants to see Frog in again; even if you don't like him, his
antics are legendary. --- KrahenProphet lived up to his name. |
Cyclo_Reaper | Posted 12/9/2009 2:43:43 PM | message detail |
From: AmazingKirby | #072 No, I think Rikku would win that, and Liquid would beat everyone in this poll. Its just weird to gauge strength when theres 12 characters --- http://card.mygamercard.net/nxe/Albion+Hero.png Nominate Vault Boy! |
Team Rocket Elite | Posted 12/9/2009 2:43:47 PM | message detail |
Archer's
lead is currently 149. It was 184 an hour ago and 236 two hours ago. It
was actually down to 142 about 30 minutes ago but Archer seems to have
stalled since then. --- "Those whose memories fade seek to carve them in their hearts..." "All dreams are but another reality. Never forget..." |
LeonhartFour | Posted 12/9/2009 2:43:56 PM | message detail |
This poll isn't asking for your favorite character. It's asking for the character you want in the contest. Although I wonder how much different things would be if it were just asking for your favorite. --- "Stay with me until the end. Please." "Not until the end. Always." |
KamikazePotato | Posted 12/9/2009 2:46:05 PM | message detail |

LeonhartFour | Posted 12/9/2009 2:48:06 PM | message detail |
No,
the poll is worded correctly. The character I want in the contest the
most isn't necessarily my favorite character in the poll. --- "Hold on a minute! That testimony stinks!" "Witness! You can't just say 'Hello' and expect us to get anywhere! I want you to testify!" |

voltch | Posted 12/9/2009 2:50:31 PM | message detail |
oh alright. Either way, most of these guys won't make it to the third round, so in a one on one situation, not a lot of points lost. --- Shakes Fist! |

From: Team Rocket Elite | #075 its not up to 197... Archer has gained about 50 votes in 3 updates nothing weird here --- http://card.mygamercard.net/nxe/Albion+Hero.png Nominate Vault Boy! |
HaRRicH | Posted 12/9/2009 2:52:27 PM | message detail |
I
imagine Mudkip and Missingno have more in common than they do with
Jigglypuff, and that coupled with being in all three SSB-games and
being an original Pokemon should have kept her from getting LAST in a
twelve-way poll when other options were dealing with SFF/LFF too. It
was a poll where The Boss took second place despite Raiden...that's an
embarrassing poll to take twelfth in. These polls are all sorts of weird and I'd still give her the benefit of the doubt against some of those same opponents in a fair fight, but I've lost interest in trying to get her in a contest again. The SSB-roster can just remain incomplete and I won't mind now. --- Please nominate DOC LOUIS from Mike Tyson's Punch-Out!! T E A M C H O C O L A T E |
LeonhartFour | Posted 12/9/2009 2:53:21 PM | message detail |
And Yoshimitsu better not be in the NRT again next year, if there is one! --- "Stay with me until the end. Please." "Not until the end. Always." |
Zylo the wolf | Posted 12/9/2009 2:54:25 PM | message detail |

Oh...I
didn't even think about the difference. But since Frog always makes
cheaty comebacks on my favorite characters, I super don't want to see
him in the contest. --- Vote for Rikku in today's poll on the front page! |

From: KamikazePotato | #089 Once. Strangely enough, the year he made it, he had no support. But I should take note of these polls for future reference of the NRT! --- "The great GF...Bahamut." "...GF? I...? Using my powers...It is you humans...I fear..." |

its not up to 197... Archer has gained about 50 votes in 3 updates Oh boy, Archer started going back up in percentage again. Anyways, you were right about Archer dying when the sun rises. Archer's percentage dropped during all of the BSV, DSV, and part of the ASV (if Archer can keep up with percentage increases). --- Luster Soldier --- ~Shield Bearer~ | ~Data Analyst~ Popular at school, but not as cool as KrahenProphet, Guru Champ! |

I wouldn't mind if the NRT was more returners heavy next contest. There's a lot of good characters that haven't made it since 2007. --- Board 8 BOP: http://www.freewebs.com/charmander6000/BGE2%20BOP.xls Congratulations to Krahenprophet for winning the guru contest |

the Archer night vote begins. --- Demyx is better than Axel. |
KamikazePotato | Posted 12/9/2009 2:58:32 PM | message detail |
I
do remember in the Laharl/Hogger/Ramza match last year there was one
hour of the ASV where Laharl dominated. It made absolutely no sense but
he was going at some ridiculous rate and would've easily gotten 2nd if
he had kept it up. Maybe there's a weeaboo ASV hour or something. --- KrahenProphet lived up to his name. |
