Who was even rallying for missingno? It got barely any support from the board. Missingno. got into the suggested nominations database without Board 8 support. Apparently some group of people outside of Board 8 was supporting it. Haha. GameFAQs and freakin' Pokemon. I mean the trend of doing absolutely crappy in the first few updates then rising to heaven overnight I know, but unlike before, when FF characters could count on respectable support through the end of the match (indeed, FFVII always ended at its highest percentage of the day before 2008), Lightning had better make sure that lead is big come 3PM tomorrow. --- Link he come to town to dominate all other characters and trample them down with his sword of more votes. |

And now that I've actually looked at the poll result, this is pretty funny. A part of me wants to curse the Pokemon fans, and a part of me wants to vote for Missingno. So
how surprising is Boss > Raiden supposed to be? I was shocked at
first, but comparing their performances in '07, I'd say The Boss did
better. On the other hand, everyone here always hyped up Raiden as

We
already know how much joke votes helped Mudkip, and most of that was
just 4chan, which we know isn't very strong here. Imagine how Missingno

I
wouldn't think this poll is too reliable for determining contest
strengths. It's 12-way, has no pictures, and asks which character
should get in the contest, not which is your favorite character.

There's
4x Nintendo (with 3x pokeymanz and 2x jokes), 2x Square, 2x MGS, and 3x
fighters. And somebody named Alex Mercer. I wouldn't take anything away

only one thing to take from this poll - MGS3 > MGS2 confirmed. I wouldn't be worried about Bayonetta. Lightning's actually doing pretty good, beating out some fodder line characters here. hell, Lightning's looking to be above Balthier already. --- xyzzy |

This is better than Add/Remove for the Games Contests. You idiots would've voted boring people over Missingno. Joke characters are going to be the only new characters we can bring in that will have actual strength, you know. And it's not like any of them really have any chance of winning anymore unless the format is really biased for them. Fourway time: L-Block vs WCC vs Missingno vs Sandbag. And I'm still wanting Pikachu vs Missingno. I think Missingno could be the strongest Pokemon character we have, which would be incredibly ridiculous and even more hilarious. --- Not Wylvane |

If
anything, you'd think Jigglypuff would at least be beating Mudkip,
especially since Jiggly's from 151 and Missingno's probably leeching a
lot of 4chan support and other joke votes from the 'kip. Jigglypuff
currently looks closer to Nidoran F and Bidoof than Mewtwo and Mudkip. I guess starters are just legitimately strong, no matter what the gen. --- Not Wylvane |

Missingno
rises, while Lightning falls and Boss signals that she wants to fight
for second. It's not very much in terms of votes, but she's actually at
