At this point, I'm convinced that we're going to see a lot of these sets. Archer only received 22 nominations on Board 8 and not a lot elsewhere. Alex Mercer wasn't on the ballot. Olimar...is Olimar. On the other hand, we're also seeing guys like Raiden in these polls. That has to mean that the range allowed for these is huge...we could see 10 of these polls in the end.

I really hope you're right. I think these polls are a really great idea, so I'm hoping there are quite a few.

Am I the only one who's really impressed with Big Daddy's performance? I know his day vote will most likely be mediocre, but I'm still shocked he's beating Midna and Pac-Man.

Archer is the kind of guy that would thrive in a 12-way. cut out the bottom 8 options and I doubt he does more than 10%. this is a very nice way for him to show off. it's just like if we had Phoenix in one of these polls, only magnified since the fanbase is much louder thanks to being ten times more niche.

Well this makes me feel good about Yuna's chance of getting straight into the contest, and Jecht's of at least making these 12-way things. They're are a great idea IMO, but it really sucks that we don't know who's going through from them - is it just the winner? The top four? The top six?

Frog's max lead on Rikku was 371 at 3:06 AM. By the looks of it, Frog has gained a little bit since his lowest lead after the start of the morning vote (which was 218 at 8:53 AM).

Can't seem to figure out what Frog is doing right now.

Pac-Man's been a low seed nearly every year he's been in the contest except for the first year, where there were no formal nominations. This is not surprising.

I think CATS would do mostly fine -- he's always gotten a steady ~11%-13% in most matches he's been in, plus he hung tough with Ansem and actually beat somebody last year...even if it is Nathan Drake pre-Uncharted 2. I think he's also understood to be a regular contest-tradition at this point, so if his position was on the line in a twelve-way poll with competition this strong/weak, I think he'd do fine. He shouldn't win, but he'd make the rest of the poll look bad.
