What's funny about that quote is that it insinuates MGS2/3/4 lost to Battlefield 1942/3.

hold that poll anywhere that is PC leaning and I'm sure Battlefield 1942 is in it. Battlefield 1942 was a massive online FPS for like 5 years. Its got a huge following. Just cuz it might not be popular on a Japanese gaming oriented site like Gamefaqs dosen't mean its not very popular other places.

**** yeah, Peggle. I'm rooting for it to upset WoW and make an epic run for the championship!

Also, it's only 400 points this week for Xbox Live Gold members. If you don't own Peggle yet, ****ing buy it. Best casual game ever.

Speaking of which, is it too late to rally for a Peggle character? Yeah, uber-fodder and all, but still.

I think people just don't feel the same way to the Mario series now a days.

I blame Super Mario Sunshine. The fact that we had to live with it as the only console Mario platformer for 5 years didn't help.

Sunshine's underrated, as is Wind Waker, though at least Wind Waker doesn't get much hate for its awesome graphics anymore.

I'm surprised how underhyped Galaxy was, and how well-received it was, and now how ignored it is. Galaxy's one of those games that was strongest when it came out and then just quickly tapered off. So weird, considering how strong and awesome a game it was. Oh well, too bad Galaxy 2 probably won't be as huge, though if latter 2010 is weak it may be the only thing to give FF13 competition for GotY here.

So what huge games are there for 2010 so far anyway? FF13, Galaxy 2, and Mass Effect 2? Possibly Bayonetta?

Oh yeah.

Don't think Bioshock 2 will get as much critical acclaim as the first, nor do I think AW or RDR will do much to impress even if they turn out to be stellar games. GoW3, on the other hand, I expect to make some waves, and I think will be heavily hyped as it comes closer since it's the PS3's next killer app (people still say killer app, right? I'm feeling old).

I noticed Fallout 3 has made a big comeback against Half Life 2 since yesterday on that Crispy gamer site. Went from only 38% for Fallout 3 to 47%!

Hey gang,

As discussed a while back, I'm reasonably convinced we'll be seeing a Tag Team bracket be released in the next few weeks. So with that in mind I tried my best at simulating what that would look like, assuming 1s were paired with 16, 2s with 15s, and so forth (which seems the most likely option).

Matches like that kinda weird me out on how extreme each side of the SFF will try to counter-balance. That said, Aeris should surely stand up better to Cloud than Zelda can to Link and Link > Cloud anyway. Gimme Link/Aeris there.

I never really got the Red-hype, but I never liked him much either despite beating the game a few times. Cosmos Canyon had cool music and he looked like a powerful animal, but I can't remember much about him other than taking some pride in his family, breaking free from the cage/experiment, and his real name. I don't recall him being very good in battle either, though I'm admittedly terrible at RPGs and balancing my parties in the few I've played.

Then again, I'll take half the vets over Sonic at this point. Dante/Sonic, sure. Luigi/Sonic, OK. I'll even take Walter over Sonic, and that is a name I just made up. Pick a Walter from some random video game, and I'd take him over Sonic.

Kirby > Sonic is still my favorite highlight of 2008, even moreso than me making the leaderboard for the first time.

Visitors are allowed in the Vatican, so if there were public wireless access points or other public computers there, then it would be possible for someone to vote from the Vatican.
