There's absolutely no way Red XIII is stronger than Aeris. Just...no. No way, no how. Furry votes do not add up to that much to let a low, low midcarder rise up to the level of a normal midcarder.

Not to take away from your hard work, but most of those either already have duplicates or are extra stuff that wouldn't cause the site to bend over backwards.

Though losing those Starcraft maps would be a shame.

I'd expect Red XIII to be about as strong as Rufus or Reno, his tiny role in advent children made me believe he wasn't a fan favourite like vincent and yuffie. while the Turks got decent screen time and always have a strong presence in every gamem plus they just ooze cool.

You do have a history for this, after all. Surely you didn't think that your status on GameFAQs made you immortal from trolling?

Plus, is losing your account really worth throwing a hissy-fit and pulling your contributions? Granted, this is coming from a person who's only contributed one thing ever and goes through GameFAQs accounts like popcorn, but still.

Speaking of which, I need to start another account soon in case I get bored of this one.

Now that I think about it, is Mudkip the strongest non-151 Pokemon? I can't imagine anything being stronger than it if Lucario isn't. I wouldn't even put much faith in Pichu.

No, but I expect at least the appearance of objectivity. This was just some mod out to get one user and did it by deleting a dozen borderline posts all at once. And yes, I'd highly consider pulling everything if a 3k+ karma account slash user in good standing for most of ten years get banned for literally nothing. Not the type of site I'd want to be a part of.

Waluigi was incredible in Tennis, and I also think he handles a bit better than most in the Kart series. Probably my favorite Heavy to play when he is one, and second favorite when he's Medium (after Luigi).

Although Cloud and Sephy may get slight boosts from Dissidia to counteract the FFVII atrophy, but I won't bet on anything major.

Yeah, I wouldn't expect Dissidia to do much for any of the FF crew, the top tier FF guys anyway. Don't think it made nearly as big a splash as it would have needed to.

The only character that might get some help from Dissidia is Jecht, so it might finally get him in. Like how Zacks PSP game finally got him into the field.

Maybe, but this is a bit different. Jecht isn't the star of the game, or even any more notable than anyone else, so I wouldn't count on him getting a disproportionate boost from Dissidia than anyone else. I wouldn't have high expectations even if Jecht did get in, though. Probably the weakest of the FF10 characters we've seen.

My point is that Jecht is back on Final Fantasy fans minds again, which is pretty important in the nomination phase. It might not give him a boost in strength but should help people remember him when they make their nominations.

I'm talking about a nomination boost, not a popularity one. Yeah, Jecht was in Dissidia, but he doesn't do anything to stand out, which means unless you were a huge Jecht fan who just forgot he existed until now, you probably aren't going to nominate over any of the characters in the game. We'll see -- I doubt he makes it in.

And really, it's not a loss if he doesn't get in. There aren't many matches you can stick him in where he's interesting. Might as well try for one of the bigger FF8 characters instead of yet another FF10 dude. Although ideally we just abandon trying to get every low tier FF character into the contest !

I would like to see another OOT character- it'll be interesting to see where the likes of Saria, Malon, Talon, Ruto, etc. land. And of course there's Epona and Sheik, if Sheik counts.

Sheik would be the best character strength-wise, but I can't see enough people supporting her without a NRT/Guru-push. I'm all of Epona though, that horse would do well enough and you could get some people behind ya for it.

Bacon allows blocks and cubes. If Sheik gets the noms, I think Bacon will give her a spot. It seems way too late to start a consolidated push, however; maybe next year.

I'm not sure but a while back I seem to remember discussions on the stats topic about how bahamut was ineligible, because he was based off an actual mythical being, so he wasn't an original character as a result.

I would enjoy seeing a summon or two in a contest. I also don't think it's fair to say FF3/6 doesn't have any worthwhile characters left...it's possible given the ones we've seen, but if we've never seen Shadow, Locke, Sabin, or Mog in a match, it's not like we've seen its cast's potential. We've seen its villain be the strongest so far, which is really untraditional for characters...though I don't mean to insinuate they would beat Kefka, we've seen them beat Terra/Celes with relative ease in the old FF3/6-poll and it's not normal for villains to have that kind of status here (yes, even if Kefka's a great villain).

I doubt they'd do anything crazy in a match, but it's not worth throwing them in with the likes of Terra, Celes, or Ultros either.

Dissidia won't do a thing for FF guys. that game came and went and didn't exactly endear people to certain characters. maybe if it was on a console where you could easily play it multiplayer instead of the PSP, there could have been some buzz about favourite chaacters and whatnot. but it's the PSP.

Jecht's not the worst nomination ever or anything, and it certainly better than the 5 year quest of trying to find that elusive FF6 guy that will magically have strength, but why are we digging for third and fourth tier FF10 guys? if you're gonna do that, at least do third and fourth tier FF7 guys.
