So, 4chan did influence Sballing since their Gamespot interference. Like I said, I hope that Valve crashes this contest like they did over there.

Hoping for an interesting format from SBAllen! 1v1 actually doesn't seem that exciting for characters right now, although a 1v1 games contest would still be amazing (the last contest raised more questions than it answered, and showed us that there are a ton of strong games out there).

yeah I nommed Lightning. if the nom period goes long enough, the game could come out. with the way Bacon runs the contests, I could see a bracket not coming until 2010.

if that doesn't happen and she wins a round due to format BS, then we've got an even more interesting situation, trying to gauge a character without a game. she's better than most of the stuff being touted around the board.

I'm actually getting kind of excited to see if Sackboy does anything this contest. I made my case for him to look decent awhile back, but I didn't realize he was also getting a PSP-game until now, too. He should also be able to avoid a Noble Niner (and Solid) with the nominations he should get from two games instead of no games.

I'm excited to see how much he improves from last year. Maybe he'll get a competitive match.

I'd conservatively take Peach because of how well-known she is. I think he and Duke Nukem could fight well though.

I really do hope Krahen picks an underappreciated/potentially good untested character, something like Fei Fong Wong or Bayonetta. It would suck to waste a slot nomming a powerhouse.

Maybe, but he was still a good choice -- he was new, had decent strength, came from a new series with a lot of hype and sales behind it yet wasn't promised a shot in the contest...EC did fine.
