70% of Americans tip 15%+, and over half of people from Oceania don't go to restaurants where people tip. South Americans and Europeans only tip 6-10%, if they tip at all.

Woah at today's poll. I'm surprised the Batman game's so close to Dissidia.

Before voting, I figured Batman would be safe for second place, but I never expected it to be so close to Dissidia. Of course, Dissidia has to deal with the PSP bias that this site has. The last time we saw PSP bias in action was with the E3-announced games poll which had "Metal Gear Solid Rising" and "Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker". Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker is basically MGS5 here and yet it did much worse than Metal Gear Solid Rising, a game that doesn't even feature Snake in the game. Metal Gear Solid Rising was a multi-platform game while Peace Walker is a PSP game.

Wow, I completely forgot about the whole thing about most fighting game fans considering Smash to not be a proper fighting game. It does get repetitive quite fast though (especially in singleplayer, which is the main thing for me).

Anyways, here are some more funny things I remember about other lists:

I've seen ONE list that has Twilight Princess above Half-Life 2, and that list has Metroid Prime ahead of both of them, so tch tch.

Likewise, I've seen ONE list that has Twilight Princess above Resident Evil 4, but that was a best GameCube game list that also had Wind Waker above Melee (yeah, look how well that worked out), and, Metroid Prime at the #1 spot. (so MP > TP > WW > SSBM > RE4)

Likewise...well, how about we compare "Official" Nintendo Magazine's list to how things might stand in the contest. According to the list, SSBM isn't even the best fighting game on the GameCube (Melee was 58th and Soul Calibur II was 41st), and, uh, here were the top 20.

19. Advance Wars: Dark Conflict (aka Days of Ruin?)

11. Super Mario Bros. 3 (yep, "Official" Nintendo Magazine didn't even put Mario 3 in their top ten)
10. Super Street Fighter II: The New Challengers (so apparently Mario 3 shouldn't even be able to handle Street Fighter II, let alone Super Mario World, and apparently the best fighting game on a Nintendo console isn't a Smash game)
9. Resident Evil 4 ("Official" Nintendo Magazine put this above Brawl and TP, but there were two other Wii games that outpaced it here!)

5. Tetris (Zelda 1 was 70th on this list while Tetris was 5th; look how well that worked out in the contest)

2. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (so "Official" Nintendo Magazine didn't even name OoT as the best game on a Nintendo console)

Ah, you know it's funny, these people, they go to sleep. They think everything's fine, everything's good... They wake up the next day and they're on fire.

BTW I would've voted for Prime Trilogy if it weren't for the fact that I already own all three and I'll probably just pick it up for cheap sometime in the future. So I voted for Dissidia (all FF characters meeting together? Hell yeah!)

The MP-trilogy and TMNT4:Reshelled need more love. I still would have liked seeing TMNT4 in BGE2 though:

At worst, I don't think it would have had the same fate as The Simpsons had in 2004...maybe it could have competed in Shining Force 2's or Streets of Rage 2's position against SoM and Doom, which were pretty close to MK2 and DKC-with-LoZ:LttP. That still feels generous though.

I don't think so. Just because they are popular in other forms of media doesn't mean their game will do well. This is the same reason why other fictional characters will bomb in the character battle, especially if it's advertised as a videogame character battle.
