I should note I'm only for the contest if it's a mixed bracket and they don't overrule the bracket. I'd hope to see the most nominated 20-32 in prime position for upsets and see what they're worth real quick, too. If it turned out there were many more than that, my main interest on GameFAQs just became too diluted.

Microsoft and Sony suffer from SFF, and hold each other back. Nintendo can't gain traction because of the other two options.

I hate these five-way contests. I hope we go back to normal next poll.

EBV | 41.01% | 58.99% | (0:00-0:05)
PHV | 43.62% | 56.38% | (0:00-1:00)
FNV | 48.86% | 51.14% | (1:00-6:00)
BSV | 50.86% | 49.14% | (6:00-9:00)
DSV | 47.43% | 52.57% | (9:00-14:30)
ASV | 46.14% | 53.86% | (14:30-22:00)
SNV | 47.85% | 52.15% | (22:00-24:00)

Man, one-on-one charts are a lot easier to do! Strangely enough, OoT even won the night vote outright. The morning vote is the only one FFVII won.

One other thing: MWC was right about RBY. He called it the #3 game after round 1 when most of us were debating whether it was a top 10 game, and none of us were putting it in the top 5. Whether or not RBY would actually beat, say, LTTP, he was closer than all, or almost all, of us were. He was also right about OOT and FFVII being way above the rest of the pack, and about OOT winning.

Again, thanks Red.

Now, please let us see the end of Link vs AVALANCHE

I am looking forward to it.

System rankings looks good. Things I would change

MM2 > Metroid
Battletoads > Contra > Ninja Gaiden > Punch-Out
SMW > CT
SMW2:YI > FF2 > MMX
Phantasy Star 4 is a Genesis Game, not an SNES game
Why is FFX in the PS1 section?
SH2 > Disagea > Persona
MP > ToS
The multi-platform section is a mess. Do system of origin.

MM2 > Metroid - I'd like to, but there is no doubt Metroid was done worse by SMB/LoZ than MM2 (for a reason, too) and 2004 through Pac-Man says Metroid > MM2 pretty easily.

Battletoads > Contra > Ninja Gaiden > Punch-Out - Gotta trust Nintendo there, especially now that PO is out for the Wii. Still, I'm okay enough to switch it around with BT/Contra in some fashion...but NG still takes last between them. It barely beat DH with SMB in the poll.

SMW > CT - I trust SM64's the strongest SMB-game, and it didn't beat CT by much. Also, you have to assume SMB3 hurt it a whole lot against LoZ:LttP AND SMB3 probably beats CT too. All this, plus CT 60-40'd SMW five years ago (as well as 52-48'ing SMB3). There's not enough reason to change that yet.

SMW2:YI > FF2 > MMX - SMW2:YI wasn't THAT impressive and FF2/4 didn't look THAT bad. SMW2:YI > MMX, with more opinions, could be done.

Phantasy Star 4 is a Genesis Game, not an SNES game - Fixed, thanks.

Why is FFX in the PS1 section? - Fixed, thanks again.

SH2 > Disagea > Persona - Adjusted.

MP > ToS - MP lost to GTA:VC while ToS beat GTA:SA, plus I think ToS would have done better on PM.

The multi-platform section is a mess. Do system of origin - It was like this at first, but then we got to games with simultaneous releases. I opted with this as a compromise, since I didn't want to go to the extremes and make SM64, C:SotN, or MGS multi-platform because they had remakes/ports much later.

Also, massive Tetris underestimation - Tetris didn't beat MM2 that well, mostly faced junk, got SFF'd by real competition, and is an old puzzle game. Recognition be damned, I'm only going to go so high over modern games with real fanbases. Still, with more opinions, I may change it.

I don't know how badly Mario World/3 hurt each other against LttP, but it's very clear that they did. Zelda 1 essentially tied Mario 3 after getting 45% on Mario 1 two rounds previous; that's a huge gap to make up. Now, in the LttP match the Mario games didn't have to deal with Mario 1 so that's a point against them, but it's not impossible that they're very close to LttP/Mario 64 or perhaps even stronger. There's certainly not enough evidence to say anything definitive so I wouldn't blame you for not changing your rankings, but Mario World has a great case to be #2 or even #1 on the SNES.

I'm not faulting you, I just see people a lot of the times assume it was a SNES game just because it was an RPG and people have this notion Genesis had no rpgs, so it had to be a SNES game. Its just frustrating =\

Eh, #2, maybe...I prefer playing conservative on it beating CT (though I would love to see it), but I'll open . LoZ:LttP still wrecked them though without SMB1. I do trust decent damage was done, but I still wonder how much: LoZ:LttP/SMW's expected to be a 62-38 match from the semi-final, plus it makes FF2/4 look like trash if they bothered each other a lot. LoZ:LttP > SMW also works through CT in 2004, the Top 100 List, and LoZ > SMB series-wise in recent years. I can't trust it that far (though, again, it would rock).
